  • The large public bath and open-air bath are some of the largest in Matsushima Onsen, allowing you to stretch out your arms and legs to your heart's content. There is also a sauna, so you can enjoy a nice soak. Meals are available in two plans: a banquet and Buffet, with Buffet offering a wide variety of dishes and excellent quality for the price. In addition to the regular dishes, there are seasonal fair dishes to look forward to. There is salt-grilled beef tongue, Sendai beef grilled on a hoba leaf, and teppanyaki, and in the fall, seafood including crab is also served. For entertainment, there is the usual table tennis, games corner, karaoke room, etc.

  • As the name suggests, the views of Matsushima Bay from the large public bath and open-air bath are spectacular!

  • There are spacious large public baths and open-air baths for men and women, and a sauna is also available. As with other Oedo Onsen Monogatari the entertainment facilities include table tennis, a game corner, and a karaoke room. There is a kaiseki course meal, but for young people, Buffet is definitely better value for money. They also offer all-you-can-eat Haagen-Dazs, salt-grilled beef tongue, Sendai beef teppanyaki, and in the fall, all-you-can-eat crab.

  • I recommend Oedo Onsen Monogatari.

  • When you think of oysters in Miyagi, Matsushima is the place to go. I think this hotel is good. It's part of the Oedo Onsen Monogatari group, so you can stay there at a reasonable price. The hotel is proud of its Buffet meals, mainly seafood, and its well-equipped hot springs. You can eat as many oysters as you want at the nearby oyster hut.

  • There is an all-you-can-eat oyster buffet.

  • I stayed here once on a company trip. It's located in Matsushima, Miyagi. The dinner and breakfast Buffet had a wide variety of items. They had oysters, crab, beef tongue, steak, sushi, etc. The food was replenished frequently, and the serving time seemed to be set quite long. There was also a hot spring, it was clean, the staff were friendly, and it was comfortable. However, if you're going for the oysters, I think the all-you-can-eat oyster hut is much better value and tastier. Please check it out.
