  • instagrammable worthy Noh stage and a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn)

  • This is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) founded in 1868, and the Noh stage on the fourth floor is lit up at night, making it instagrammable. Due to COVID-19 measures, Noh and Shimai performances have been canceled. Also, the large public bath and open-air bath are impressive, with a single rock of Oshima stone used as a bathtub. When deciding on a dinner plan, you can choose from Japanese, Western, or Chinese, which is a great thing. You can enjoy the gentle water on your skin.

  • Enjoy the ultimate in gourmet cuisine

  • We recommend the 13+7 tatami Japanese-style suite at Yamatoya Honten. The room is equipped with a cypress bathtub. The large bath has a wooden ceiling and is spacious, and you can enjoy a half-body bath while sitting on the granite floating in the bathtub. The open-air bath is enhanced by the rock bath. For dinner, the restaurant serves an excellent course meal made with plenty of seasonal Ehime ingredients.

  • A rare Japanese-style inn where men and women can rent colorful yukatas

  • While most colored yukata rentals are only available to women, this hot spring inn is unusual in that it also has men's yukata available. The "Miraku-ryu yukata" provided here is a separate top and bottom, so it's easy to put on, and they also rent retro coats for cold days. You can also rent colored tabi socks, which are a stylish touch that will make walking outside a fun experience. For women in particular, walking outside can be a pain if the yukata comes undone, so this is a highly recommended rental. A detachable collar and obiage are also included, so your outfit won't look like it's been rented. The hot springs in the building are also open and spacious, so this inn is guaranteed to have a satisfying hot spring date!

  • A Japanese-style hotel in Dogo Onsen where you can relax in a yukata

  • All of Yamatoya's Japanese-style rooms are built in the Sukiya style and feature traditional Japanese clay walls, called Juraku walls. The secluded Mizuya (water closet) lets in soft sunlight through the shoji screens. The Japanese-style rooms have a very calming atmosphere, so once you've changed into your yukata, you'll feel refreshed in body and mind. Please enjoy the comfortable open-air bath.

  • A traditional Japanese inn built in the sukiya style

  • All Japanese-style rooms at Yamatoya Honten are built in the Sukiya style and feature Juraku walls. You can be sure to enjoy traditional Japanese culture with the wide verandas of the large windows and the deep water room! For women, there are four patterns to choose from for the Miraku-ryu yukata, and you can also choose tabi and geta, so I'm sure your girlfriend will be pleased.

  • A Japanese inn with a traditional Japanese feel

  • This inn is built using traditional Japanese architectural techniques, so you can feel the Japanese atmosphere to the fullest. It is a very nice inn with a stately Japanese atmosphere and a luxurious feel. For meals, they are proud of kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ), which is packed with the best of Japanese cuisine, and everything is delicious, so even foreigners can have a satisfying time.

  • Enjoy kaiseki cuisine at a Japanese-style inn

  • The beautiful exterior of this inn makes it instantly recognizable as a Japanese inn with hot spring. The Japanese-style rooms inside the building are also carefully designed to satisfy friends from overseas. Dinner is a Japanese food banquet, where you can enjoy seasonal Setouchi cuisine. For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese food and Western cuisine, but the Western cuisine also looks delicious.

  • You can easily stay alone even in a luxury Ryokan (Japanese inn).

  • There are single rooms available. Unlike a business hotel, the rooms are more suitable for a high-end Ryokan (Japanese inn). Although it is a high-end Ryokan (Japanese inn), it was nice to be able to stay there alone without any worries. The hotel is located right next to the Dogo Onsen main building. The inn has a Noh stage, which I enjoyed at dinner time. The quality of the hot spring water was very good. The food was also delicious, with local Iyo cuisine made with ingredients from the Seto Inland Sea. The table was Western-style, placed on a tatami mat. The staff were friendly and polite.
