Ryokan Umibe no Kakure yu Seiryu

What impressed me the most at "Umibe no Kakureyu Seiryu" was the staff's heartwarming hospitality. From the moment they welcomed us upon arrival, through the detailed explanations during our meals, and right up to our departure, the service was consistently attentive and pleasant, always respecting our pace. It was a true embodiment of Japanese "omotenashi," allowing me to completely relax. Every single experience was wonderful—from watching the sunset from the private open-air bath in our room to savoring the delicious dried fish for breakfast. It was a truly restorative stay, and I would love to visit again.

For anyone looking to spend a special time with a partner in Izu, "Umibe no Kakureyu Seiryu" is a truly wonderful choice. What was particularly impressive was the view from the private open-air bath in our room. With the ocean stretching out right before us, the experience of soaking in the onsen while listening to the sound of the waves, completely undisturbed, was the very definition of an extraordinary and relaxing escape. The dining was also a highlight; the kaiseki course, centered on fresh seafood, was delicious, with each dish meticulously prepared. The serene and attentive hospitality from the staff was also very pleasant, contributing to an overall stay that was immensely satisfying. It's a place I would be delighted to return to.

It is located in Dogashima in Nishiizu. There is a small private bath with a natural hot spring with a nice view. It is located on the water's edge, so the sea is right in front of you. There are also rooms with an open-air bath from which you can enjoy a Breathtaking view of Dogashima. The rooms are spacious as they are two adjacent rooms. Dinner is a creative Japanese banquet course meal that uses plenty of fresh seafood (spiny lobster, golden-eyed snapper, etc.) caught in Suruga Bay and Shimoda Port. Breakfast was also Japanese, with local Nishiizu cuisine.
