  • Enjoy winter in Zao! Relaxing hot springs and luxurious time

  • This winter, if you're planning a trip to Zao Onsen with friends, we recommend a stylish accommodation that is surrounded by scenic forests and lakeside. You can spend a blissful time gazing at the majestic mountains while enjoying the rich sulfur-rich skin-beautifying effects of the milky white natural hot spring "independent guest cottages Hyakuhachiho". There are also plenty of plans that allow you to enjoy local flavors such as Yamagata beef miso-grilled steak and teppanyaki. Free shuttle service and comfortable rooms with Wi-Fi are also attractive. Make unforgettable memories in winter at Zao.

  • A hot spring hotel where you can enjoy local sake and wine!

  • At Zao Shiki Hotel, one bottle of sake or wine is served per person with dinner! You can drink it in your room or take it home, but I recommend having it with Yamagata beef at dinner. The rooms can accommodate up to four people, so it is also recommended for group trips. All rooms have tatami mats and beds, making it a stylish Japanese modern hotel recommended for foreigners. The hot spring has a large bath with a glass wall that overlooks the view, and an open-air bath in independent guest cottages, where you can bathe in milky white hot spring. I'm sure foreigners will be delighted with the milky white hot spring!

  • Perfect hotel for skiing in Zao

  • This hotel has easy access to the ski resort. It is within walking distance of Sanroku Station and Chuo Station, and the slopes are just around the corner. In winter, there is a half-price plan for elementary school students, so it's great value for money. You can enjoy delicious dishes such as Yamagata beef sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot). The open-air bath from which you can enjoy the natural scenery is attractive, and the breakfast Buffet is very popular with its wide variety of menu items. This is the perfect hotel for a family ski trip.

  • When it comes to luxury accommodation for young people, Zao Shiki Hotel has to be it!

  • I haven't been there recently, but whenever I went skiing in Zao, I always stayed at this inn. There are of course many types of inns, such as inns with great baths, retro inns, and inns with delicious food, but I think this inn is a good choice. The bath is a hot spring called "independent guest cottages Hyakuhachiho," but the opening hours are short. The bath in the main building is not a hot spring, but it has a nice view. For meals, dinner is kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ), and breakfast is Buffet. There is a wide selection of drinks, and the Japanese and Western cuisine is standard.

  • A hotel where you can enjoy exquisite Yamagata beef and an open-air bath with Breathtaking view view

  • This hotel is eye-catching with its beautiful fan-shaped building that gives off a European vibe. It is easy to see that it was built to make the natural surroundings visible, which is enjoyable. There is also a shuttle service from Yamagata Station. The natural hot spring independent guest cottages inn Hyakuhachiho has a wonderful atmosphere, even the indoor bath is made of wood. The open-air bath offers a picturesque view of the great outdoors, and is lit up at night, so it is very relaxing. The water is a little hot, but it is just the right temperature to warm you up in the coming winter. You can enjoy the Yamagata beef that you are looking forward to. Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot)are recommended. You can also make tempura using fresh mountain vegetables, and at this time of year, the kamameshi with matsutake mushrooms is delicious. The new rice is plump and sweet at this time of year, and is very delicious. All the food is delicious, so I think you will be very satisfied.

  • It's a beautiful European-style hotel with great karaoke rooms!

  • Besides the baths inside the hotel, there is one in front of the hotel, a little further independent guest cottages in the "independent guest cottages Hyakuhachiho". The hot spring is in "independent guest cottages Hyakuhachiho", but it closes at 23:00. Both the indoor bath and the open-air bath are beautiful, nostalgic wooden buildings. The large public bath on the first floor of the hotel is open 24 hours a day, both indoor and two types of open-air baths. Although it is not a hot spring, the weak alkaline mineral spring is said to be effective in relieving fatigue. There is also a sauna, but it is open until 21:00. Dinner is a Japanese kaiseki meal made with plenty of local ingredients, and in the morning there is a Japanese and Western Buffet. There are two free massage machines in the rest area, and a karaoke room is available for a fee. The lounge offers free drinks after the bath.

  • There is a plan available for a stay in a modern twin room, with one night stay and two meals included.

  • The standard Japanese dinner banquet includes a set of Yamagata beef and seafood teppanyaki for two, so you can share it. There are two large baths, one is the "Hanareyu Hyakuhachiho" which is a natural sulfur spring located in front of the hotel, and the other is the "independent guest cottages no Yu" which is a weak alkaline mineral spring located inside the hotel, although it is not a hot spring. The indoor bath of the "independent guest cottages" is made of wood and has a nice atmosphere, while the open-air bath is made of stone and you can soak in the water while looking out at the majestic Zao mountain range. This hot spring is open until 11pm, so if you like sulfur springs, make sure you get there in time. Both the indoor and open-air baths of Shirakami no Yu are open 24 hours a day, so you can soak whenever you like. You can soak in the water while looking out at the panoramic view of Zao's nature from both the indoor and open-air baths, and there is also a sauna, but it is open until 9pm, so if you want to go in, go early!
