"Ryokan Ibusuki SyusuienReviews about "

  • Private hot springs are recommended

  • If you are traveling to Kagoshima, I recommend "Ibusuki Shusuien." There are foot baths and sand foot baths where you can soak while looking at the garden, as well as a gallery and a shop, and many other services are available within the building. There is a fee for the hot springs, but the private baths were very nice. The scent and atmosphere of the cypress bath was particularly soothing. The food includes seafood caught in the waters off Kagoshima and a kaiseki dinner of the famous black pork shabu-shabu. Of course, you can also enjoy delicious shochu.

  • Enjoy a sand bath and shochu at Ibusuki Onsen

  • If you are in Kagoshima, be sure to try the sand bath at Ibusuki Onsen. This is a traditional Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) offers a sand bath with a foot bath. There is a large bath, an open-air bath, and two private hot springs. The food is also famous for the black pork shabu-shabu kaiseki course meal, and as the sea is nearby, you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )using delicious seafood. You can also enjoy authentic shochu.

  • Enjoy Ibusuki in luxury

  • This inn has been ranked number one for 34 consecutive years in the food category of the 100 Best Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Ibusuki, chosen by professionals. The quality of the food is in keeping with the traditional Japanese style rooms, which are filled with an adult atmosphere and are perfect for couples. This high-class inn is conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from Sunamushi Onsen (Steam Sand Bath).

  • A hotel with a beautiful garden and a Japanese atmosphere

  • I recommend Ibusuki Shusuien. They provide a shuttle service to JR Ibusuki Station. This is a hot spring inn where you can feel the Japanese atmosphere as soon as you stand in front of the entrance. Looking out at the garden next to the lobby, you will feel that it was worth coming all the way there. The baths 100% natural hot spring, and the open-air rock bath at night is a great way to relax. For meals, you can enjoy seafood and mountain produce from the south.

  • If you are going on a business trip to Ibusuki Onsen, we recommend "Ibusuki Shusuien"

  • There are no lodgings in Ibusuki Onsen that provide shuttle service to Kagoshima Chuo Station. We recommend Ibusuki Shusuien, which provides shuttle service to Ibusuki Station by minibus. This lodging is filled with hospitality and a Japanese spirit. In addition to the large bath and open-air bath with natural hot spring water, there is also a sand foot bath that you can enjoy while looking out at the garden. There is also a private semi-open-air bath with a private living room. The sand bath hall Saraku is a 3-minute walk away. Dinner is served in your room, and you can enjoy authentic kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with luxurious seasonal seafood and mountain delicacies.

  • This hotel offers shuttle service to Ibusuki Station, so it is recommended.

  • Ibusuki Onsen is over 50km independent guest cottages from Kagoshima Chuo Station. Therefore, it may be difficult to find an inn that provides a shuttle service to Kagoshima Chuo Station. This inn does provide a shuttle service from JR Ibusuki Station. You can enjoy the hot springs of Ibusuki to the fullest in the large public bath, open-air bath, and private half-open-air bath. For meals, you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal ingredients, mainly from local Kagoshima ingredients. We recommend this inn as it has Japanese-style rooms where you can relax and enjoy the view of Ibusuki's streetscape.

  • It would be better to go to Ibusuki Station to avoid losing time.

  • Ibusuki Onsen is over 50km away, so if you consider the transportation time, it's probably better to take the JR Ibusuki Makurazaki Line to Ibusuki Station. The large public bath is large, and the adjacent open-air bath is also charming. Although it costs extra, the semi-open-air private bath is soothing to the soul. The recommended room is a Japanese-style room with 8 tatami mats. For meals, you can enjoy seasonal kaiseki meals that make the most of seasonal ingredients.

  • An inn with a tropical atmosphere

  • To get to Ibusuki Onsen, there is a direct bus from Kagoshima Airport. It takes a little time, but you can get there without getting lost. The famous natural sand bath is located on the beach on the coast. It is a unique bathing experience where you cover yourself with sand, but even if your body gets dirty, you can wash it off comfortably and there are facilities nearby, so you don't have to worry. Now, Ibusuki Shusuien is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) that is said to have been ranked number one in the food category of the 100 Best Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) selected by professionals for over 30 years in a row. I stayed at this inn for two nights, and the food was amazing. The prices are a little high, but it is sure to be a memory that will last a lifetime.

  • A relaxing inn with a sand bath right in front of you

  • It's a 3-minute walk to Sunamushi Onsen (Steam Sand Bath), a specialty of Ibusuki Onsen. You dig a hole in the beach, lie down, and cover yourself with sand to take a bath. After 15 minutes, you'll be drenched in sweat. After the sand bath, enjoy a 100% natural hot spring, said to be good for your skin. If you wish, you can use a private bath.

  • You can easily experience the sand bath.

  • This is a famous Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Ibusuki. The prices are a little high, but the service, rooms, food, and facilities make it well worth the price. The sand bath can be accessed directly from the large public bath and is indoors with a roof, so it's convenient even on bad weather days. It's clean and well-equipped, so even first-time visitors can feel free to use it.
