  • Ikaho Onsen Shinki
  • Are there any English support accommodations in Ikaho Onsen?

I'm taking a friend from abroad to Ikaho Onsen. I'm worried that my friend, who doesn't understand Japanese, will feel uneasy every time I leave my seat. I'd like to know a hot spring inn where the staff can speak English and where foreigners can spend time without worrying about the language barrier!

Ikaho Onsen Shinki

557-34 Ikahocho, Shibukawa-shi,

  • This is a lodge that offers full service.

  • If you are looking for an inn in Ikaho Onsen that offers English service, I recommend this one. There are many foreign tourists in Ikaho Onsen, so you don't have to worry about anything. If you come across a foreigner in need of help, they will gladly speak to you, so everyone is happy.

  • A hotel with a great view that is popular with foreigners

  • There are quite a few inns in Ikaho Onsen that are English-speaking and cater to foreigners. At some inns, there are people who can speak simple English. My recommendation is "Ikaho Onsen Yorokobi no Yado Shinki." This inn has lovely smiles. The view from the observation bath and the mountain scenery from the rooms are magnificent and beautiful.

  • They provide great hospitality

  • How about "Shinki"? It is an inn that offers English service. It is located about a 2-minute walk from the Ikaho Onsen Bus Terminal. You can get a beautiful view of the mountains of Joshu from the observation bath on the top floor. The hot spring contains metasilicic acid, so it has a high moisturizing effect. For meals, you can enjoy dishes made with ingredients from Gunma, and the mulberry leaf tea rice is excellent.

  • Recommended accommodation for foreigners!

  • There are English-speaking staff available. Located on a hilltop above the hot spring town, the views from the rooms are Breathtaking view. Meals include luxurious sukiyaki made with Gunma brand Joshu beef and delicious kaiseki kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with local seasonal ingredients, and you can enjoy the hot springs in the large communal bath and open-air bath. The interior and baths have a Japanese feel, so we think foreigners will also enjoy them.

  • The website is in English, so it's a safe place for foreigners.

  • There are few inns that can speak English, but you can rest assured here. There are foreign staff members. At an altitude of 800m, you can enjoy one of the best Breathtaking view in Ikaho Onsen. You can see the beautiful mountain scenery of Joshu from both the bath and the room, so your friends will be satisfied. The food is homemade roast beef made with the chef's heart and soul. It uses the local brand beef "Joshu beef", so it's sure to be a good memory!

You can also enjoy the hot springs from the observation bath on the top floor at an altitude of 800m, which overlooks the mountains of Joshu, and the open-air bath with a Kiso Sawara tub. Hotel Kogure

135 Ikaho, Ikaho-machi, Shibukawa-city

  • Although the quality is not high, you can still communicate with foreigners who speak English.

  • At one point they were dealing with inbound tourists, so it seems they have a customer service manual in English. As a hot spring resort, it's one of the country's leading tourist destinations, so there's no problem at all. Many of the buildings are registered cultural properties of Japan, so it's definitely worth a visit. There are 21 baths, and you can enjoy Ikaho Onsen 's proud golden waters in a free-flowing bath. There are various baths, including a mist sauna, dry sauna, open-air cold water bath, open-air bath, and massage bath. There is also a germanium bedrock bath, but this is available for a fee. Meals are Japanese kaiseki and breakfast is Buffet, with Western food available as well, and there is plenty of local cuisine.

Mimatsukan

131, Ikahomachi Ikaho

  • open-air bath with a view of the foothills of Joshu and the Ryukyu tatami bath are popular with foreigner too.

  • "Mimatsukan" is a popular hot spring inn that is often used by foreigners. It is in a great location, just a 3-minute walk from the "Stone Steps Street," the tourist symbol of Ikaho Onsen, and has an open-air observation bath with a panoramic view of the foothills of Joshu, so I think you will be satisfied and this inn is a good choice.

  • There is an open-air bath on the rooftop with Breathtaking view.

  • "Wagokoro no Yado Omori" is an inn that offers English service. It is a long-established inn that was founded over 100 years ago, and you can enjoy a Japanese atmosphere in a lovely Japanese-style room or Japanese and Western room. There is an open-air bath on the rooftop with a Breathtaking view, and you can enjoy a drink while soaking in the tub. There is also a private open-air bath, so you can enjoy a private bath. Dinner is kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ), and you can also drink delicious local sake.

  • This is an inn that many foreigner visit.

  • From my experience, I got the impression that there are many foreign guests and that the service is attentive and many guests are satisfied. It seems that they can provide support in not only English but also Chinese. The staff are friendly and it is a truly enjoyable inn. That will not change even if you are the only foreigner staying.
