  • What are the best hotels near Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture?

I'm traveling in Japan and planning to visit the famous Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture. I'm looking for a convenient place to stay with easy access to the park. Can you recommend any hotels in the area? I'd love to hear what makes the hotel great: location, special amenities, positive reviews, etc. I'd also love to hear recommendations from locals!

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Mito

1-7-44 Miya-machi, Mito-shi

  • An exceptionally clean hotel

  • Although it's not the closest station to the park, staying at Mito Station is also convenient. This hotel is located right next to the south exit of Mito Station and is easy to find. This hotel is part of a nationwide chain and is extremely clean, so it's recommended for women as well. There are also many convenience stores and cafes around the hotel, so you'll have a comfortable stay.

  • The best choice for a Mito base where you won't have to worry about dinner

  • If you're heading to Hitachi Seaside Park, the area around Katsuta Station is a good choice, but the area around Mito Station is also recommended. Daiwa Roynet Hotel Mito is conveniently located just a short walk from the south exit of Mito Station. Compared to the area around Katsuta Station, it has an overwhelming number of delicious restaurants and izakayas that are open at night. To get to the park, take the train to Katsuta Station, which is just one stop away (about 5 minutes), and then take a bus from there. This hotel is also known for its delicious breakfast buffet, so you can have a hearty breakfast before heading to the park.
