  • Manza Prince Hotel
  • Please let me know which hot spring resorts you recommend for snow viewing open-air baths.

I have never experienced a snow-viewing open-air bath. I would like to experience the luxury of watching the cold snowy scenery from a warm hot spring. Are there any hot spring inns where I can enjoy a snow-viewing open-air bath, "just like a Japanese hot spring!"?

Manza Prince Hotel

Manza-onsen, Tsumagoi-mura

  • You can truly enjoy "snow-viewing hot spring"

  • You can bathe in the hot spring water while your hair freezes from the steam. It feels more like you are bathing in a hot spring in the snow rather than enjoying the snow. The spring water is rich and warms your body. As it is a Prince Hotel affiliated hotel, the food is delicious and the rooms are a little old, but they are clean and nice.

Okuhida Hot spring Miyama Ouan

229 Hirayu, Onsengou, Okuhida

  • open-air bath with free-flowing water and a view of the snow

  • Miyama Sakuraan Hotel is a hotel located in Hirayu, Okuhida Onsenkyo. There are rooms with open-air baths, but even regular rooms can use the private open-air baths for free. In winter, it's great to enjoy a relaxing bath while watching the snow. And when the weather is good, you can see a beautiful starry sky. The Hida beef they serve is also delicious.

Hotel Mahoroba

65,Noboribetsu-city

  • You can enjoy four different types of spring water.

  • There is a large open-air bath where you can enjoy four different types of spring water. Another recommended point is that you can eat as much "ikura" as you want at dinner. There is a free bus from Sapporo Odori Park to the hotel. Therefore, even if there is a lot of snow, you can get to the hotel without any problems. It's very helpful.

Kitayuzawa Mori no Soraniwa

300-7 Kitayuzawa Onsen-cho, Otaki-ku, Date-shi

  • The largest open-air bath in Hokkaido

  • The cold you feel when you go outside, and the long corridor to the open-air bath. The open-air bath you reach is spacious and you can relax there. When it's cold, you can take a long bath, feeling the steam rising from all around and enjoying the contrast between the cold outside and the warmth of the water. It's the best.

Nozawa Onsen Nozawa Grand Hotel

8888 Toyosato, Nozawa-Onsenmura, Shimotakai-gun

  • The charm of a private open-air bath in a heavy snow area

  • The hotel is located in Nozawa Onsen, a heavy snow area in Nagano Prefecture. The private open-air bath is especially recommended. Because it is on high ground, you may feel like you are being watched, but the view is amazing. There are also baths around the hotel, so it is recommended to take a bath hopping around.

Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku

1899 Fujiwara Minakami-machi Tone-gun

  • Recommended for families and couples! A Mixed-Gender Hot Springs gender open-air bath with Breathtaking view

  • We recommend Takaragawa Onsen, which has been featured on TV many times. The inn is popular for its bathhouse-like atmosphere that appears in the Miyazaki anime "Spirited Away," and is popular with many foreign guests. There is Mixed-Gender Hot Springs gender open-air bath with Breathtaking view view that you can bathe in while wearing bathing clothes. It's a must-try experience for families and couples.

Otaru Asari Classe Hotel

2-676 Asarigawa-onsen

  • This is a reasonably priced hot spring inn in Otaru.

  • If you are coming from the airport, you can use the shuttle service with an advance reservation, and there is also a bus (general transportation) that stops near the hotel from the train station, so it is very convenient. The rooms are Western-style with calming colors and are spacious, so even large groups can stay here with ease. In addition to the indoor bath, there is also an open-air bath surrounded by forest, so you can enjoy the feeling of forest bathing while bathing, which is highly recommended. It is a comprehensive resort hotel with a pool and tennis courts, so it is recommended for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Accommodation is inexpensive, so it is also good for long-term stays.

Hotel Abashirikoso

78 Yobito

  • Hotels in Lake Abashiri, Hokkaido

  • How about going to Lake Abashiri in eastern Hokkaido? From the second half of January, you can see drift ice and there are many events such as festivals on the lake, where you can warm up your cold body in hot springs. We recommend the "Hotel Abashirikoso" in Hokkaido for accommodation. You can see the snowy scenery from the private baths and open-air baths. You can also enjoy a course meal while looking at the view of Lake Abashiri, so you will surely be satisfied.

Ichirino Kogen Hotel Roan

CHI-70-4, Ozo, Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture

  • open-air bath with a view of the snow is wonderful

  • Food is served Japanese hearth the hearth, over a fireplace with cypress wood, just like in an old folk house. The fish on the skewers is delicious and odorless, just like in a Japanese folk tale. The open-air bath 100% natural hot spring 24 hours a day, and there is also a private open-air bath where you can relax and enjoy bath to view the snow.

Niseko Hot Spring Ikoino Yuyado Iroha

477 Niseko-cho, Abuta-gun,

  • Highly recommended if you want to experience snow!

  • This hotel is located right next to the Niseko Annupuri ski resort, so you can enjoy skiing from morning to night. The prices are also reasonably priced. But above all, the open-air bath here is the best. Being surrounded by snow and getting snowed in is just heavenly.

Tateshina Shinyu Onsen

4035, Kitayama, Chino

  • open-air bath overlooking the snowy mountain stream is the best.

  • The hotel is located at a relatively high altitude, so it is cold in the winter. You can use the private open-air bath for free. The outside temperature is extremely cold, but the spring quality is good and it warms your body, and the view of the mountains, streams, and snow is amazing. Also, the large public bath here is rare and has tatami mats, so this is also recommended.

Kyukamura Ura-Bandai

HIbara

  • A quiet hotel surrounded by mountains.

  • 1. Located near Lake Hibara, the view of Urabandai from inside the hotel is very beautiful. 2. The hot springs are rich in iron, and the open-air snow bath is especially amazing. 3. When there is snow, you can enjoy activities such as walking around the hotel in rental snowshoes. 4. At night, small wild animals are fed, which can be seen clearly through the window.

  • hot spring with a beautiful snowy view

  • Yamagata Prefecture has many wonderful hot springs, but I think Ginzan Onsen is the best. Ginzan Onsen, with its Taisho era romantic atmosphere, makes you feel like you're in another world. This inn has an indoor bath, an open-air bath, and an open-air Lying-down bath bath. All of the springs are of good quality and were very warming. In winter, the scenery is a silver world. There is no doubt that Ginzan Onsen becomes even more charming when covered in silver. The buildings and rooms are clean and well-maintained. The customer service is also impeccable. The food is also carefully prepared using local ingredients and was very delicious. I'm sure it will be a good memory of Ginzan Onsen.

  • hot spring are great, but that's not all.

  • This hotel is located deep in the mountains with poor transportation access and few restaurants, but it is very popular in the winter and it is difficult to make a reservation. The cloudy white water is amazing and wonderful while the snow is deep and falling steadily! This is the annex, but the main building is also good, and both include meals and cost less than 2 yen per person. Another recommendation is the restaurant. We enjoyed mountain delicacies and local cuisine around Japanese hearth.

Kirinzan-onsen Fukusen Ekaki no Yado

5886 Kanose, Aga-machi, Higashikanbara-gun

  • hot spring inn where you can enjoy open-air bath in winter with a view that looks like something out of a watercolor painting

  • Although it is a small inn, you can enjoy tasteful rooms and baths. There is an open-air bath and an indoor bath, so you can enjoy the view outside and warm up at your leisure. The view outside changes with the seasons, so in winter you can enjoy a landscape that feels like you have jumped into the world of a sumi-e painting.

Yumoto Saito Ryokan

  • A famous hot spring with heated water flowing directly from the source. In winter, you can enjoy the snow from open-air bath.

  • Although it is quite snowy, the natural environment is wonderful and the location is like a "secret hot spring". I wanted to take a bath in a white hot spring while watching the snowy scenery, so I chose Saito Ryokan (Japanese inn) which has good reviews in Shirahone Onsen. The open-air bath with a view of the snow was amazing. I was very satisfied with the bath, the food, and the room.

Kaikake Onsen

  • A lodging where you can enjoy Nature

  • It is surrounded by nature and has no buildings, making it the perfect hot spring inn for viewing the snow. The high-quality hot spring is also used for therapeutic baths. The rooms are clean and traditional Japanese. The meals are Japanese-style kaiseki meals, mainly local cuisine. This is truly a wonderful inn worthy of being called a hidden hot spring inn.

77-2 Yuwakuaraya-machi, Kanazawa-shi

  • Relax in the inner sanctum of Kanazawa

  • Yuwaku Onsen is known locally as Kanazawa's inner sanctum, but is less well known nationwide than Wakura Onsen and Kaga Onsenkyo. It is a small hot spring resort with few lodgings, but the buildings are quite impressive, the food is delicious, and I was able to enjoy the hot springs at my leisure. There is also a magnificent open-air bath, and in winter you can bathe while watching the snow. It does not have the glitz of larger hot spring resorts, but it is a great place to relax and refresh yourself. The accommodation fee is not too high, so it is an excellent value for money lodging.

  • Iwamatsu Ryokan (Japanese inn) is a hot spring inn in Sakunami Onsen, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. It is relatively easy to access, as it can be reached by bus or train from Sendai Station. The hot spring here has an abundant supply of water, and there is also an open-air bath where you can enjoy the snowy scenery you desire. The breakfast Buffet was also delicious.

  • "Bijin-no-yu (a hot spring of beauty)" that makes your skin smooth

  • When it comes to baths where you can see the snow, Nyuto Onsenkyo and Matsukawa Onsen are famous, but it's quite difficult to get to Akita or Iwate in the winter. So, we recommend Karinyu in Okukinu Onsenkyo, Tochigi, as a hidden gem for an open-air bath where you can see the snow. The quality of the sulfur spring water, which flows directly from the source, is excellent, and since it's an open-air bath in the middle of nature, you can really experience the snow in the winter. Even after you get out of the bath, your body will be warm from the inside out.
