When it comes to spring outings, cherry blossom viewing and touring cherry blossom spots are a must! We will introduce you to classic cherry blossom viewing spots as well as hidden gems. In Western Japan, cherry blossoms can usually be seen from late March to early April. In 2025, the Kyushu region is expected to bloom around March 20th, and the Chugoku, Shikoku and Kinki regions around March 25th. The cherry blossoms only bloom for a short period of time, so be sure to plan your cherry blossom viewing trip so you don't miss the best time to see them!
Umi-no-nakamichi Seaside Park (Fukuoka)


This is a vast national park located in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. In spring, the park is decorated with colorful flowers, making it the perfect season for outdoor activities such as picnics and cycling. At the "Flower Hill" in the park, you can see a collaboration of cherry blossoms and nemophila. This is a rare opportunity to see this only for a few days during this season! There is a cycling course that is about 12 km long, and you can enjoy a refreshing cycle while feeling the sea breeze. There is also a cycling course lined with cherry blossom trees, where you can enjoy Breathtaking view. There is also an experience of interacting with animals. About 500 animals of 50 species are kept, including kangaroos and squirrel monkeys.

Enjoy the "Fushimi Jikkokubune" boat ride on the Uji River (Kyoto)

The "Fushimi Jikkokubune" is a sightseeing boat that operates on the Uji River branch (Horikawa River) in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. The boat is a replica of a smaller version of the 30-koku boat that was used to connect Fushimi and Osaka in the early Edo period, and visitors can enjoy cruising while taking in the picturesque scenery. Osaka Castle Park (Osaka)

This is a vast urban park located in Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. With Osaka Castle, a symbol of Japanese history, at its center, you can enjoy nature throughout the seasons and various facilities. Osaka Castle Park is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, with about 3,000 cherry trees in full bloom in spring, creating a beautiful contrast between the historical buildings and the cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms blooming against the backdrop of Osaka Castle, the symbol of Osaka, are a spectacular sight. Nishinomaru Garden in particular is known as a famous cherry blossom spot with about 300 Somei Yoshino cherry trees in full bloom. You can also enjoy the illuminated cherry blossoms at night. If the weather is good, you can see a vast panorama that stretches all the way to the Great Seto Bridge and Chugoku. In spring, about 1,000 cherry trees paint the entire summit pink, and you can enjoy a picturesque view of the blue Seto Inland Sea and the islands below. There is a hiking trail up to the summit, so you can take a pleasant stroll while enjoying the cherry blossoms.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

This is a beautiful park surrounded by rivers and greenery in Naka-ku, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture. It is the site of the first atomic bomb in human history to be dropped on August 6, 1945, and was built as a prayer for peace and a memorial to the victims. In spring, about 300 cherry trees bloom in full glory, and you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing and river cruises on the river by taking a water taxi or a river sightseeing boat. The entire park is lush with greenery, and strolling while admiring the cherry blossoms in the spring sunshine is a relaxing experience.

Shikano Castle Ruins Park in Shikano Town, Tottori City, is an attractive spot where history and nature coexist in harmony.
