This inn is located in an environment surrounded by the great outdoors of Yufuin, and is recommended for those who want to spend some relaxing time. It is built in the style of an old Japanese house, and has a warm and stylish design. There are several types of rooms, so you can choose the one that suits your taste. We stayed in a room on the first floor of independent guest cottages. It is a single room of 10 tatami mats, but it has a veranda, so it feels open. The room has an open-air bath, so we were able to enjoy the hot springs at our leisure while looking at the night sky and blue sky. We were very satisfied with the food, including the Kuroge Wagyu beef steak, which is unique to Kyushu. The grounds are very large, so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll.

I've been there a few times, both for driving from Fukuoka and for day trips. (It's a luxury hotel, so it's hard to stay there!) The open-air bath is very spacious, and the mountains spread out in front of you, Breathtaking view! After the bath, I recommend the traditional pudding at Cafe BanBan. It's a firm pudding that you could eat in cafes during the Showa era, and I go there just for that. The interior is Japanese-style, with a warm wooden feel. The meals use seasonal Japanese ingredients, so I think parents will be happy too.

Just a few minutes from Yufuin Station. Located in the center of the Yufuin sightseeing area, it is an excellent location for walking. The large hot spring bath is spacious and open-air bath has a sense of openness. The tasteful design makes it very comfortable, and at night you can see a beautiful starry sky. For dinner, we enjoyed a luxurious Shabu Shabu（Japanese hotpot）of Japanese black beef. The view from the room is also excellent. The garden has a Noh stage and a watermill, and the view from there is also excellent.

Kamenoi Besso is famous as a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) that is the envy of hot spring enthusiasts. You are sure to feel refreshed in the midst of nature, and you can enjoy seasonal kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）and relax in the large public bath with a great view. The food is carefully prepared and tasteful, with each dish left an impression. I have stayed here for work, and Yufuin is one of Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a high repeat rate. Yufuin Besso Shikisai Hotel has an open-air bath where you can enjoy the 100% natural hot spring while gazing at Mt. Yufu. There are also two indoor baths that can be rented for private use. The guest rooms are spacious Western-style rooms with generous beds. The natural scenery along the Yunotsubo River that spreads out from the window is soothing. For dinner, you can enjoy kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）made with seasonal ingredients from the local Bungo area of Oita. For women, there is a rental service for colorful yukata, so you can take commemorative photos that will look instagrammable. The inn is easily accessible, with a free shuttle from Yufuin Station.

「湯布院山荘　吾亦紅」は、大分自動車道の湯布院ICから車で約10分の宿です。食事は、プランにもよりますが2食共部屋食が出来て、夕食に豊後牛と黒豚のしゃぶしゃぶ等の創作和会席が、朝食に和食か特製のサンドイッチが味わえます。温泉は部屋の露天風呂と内風呂で、源泉かけ流しの由布院温泉を満喫できます。

The inn is built in a purely Japanese style, and all rooms have hot springs, with some rooms having their own private open-air bath. You can also have your meal in your room, which will ensure you have a wonderful time.

The Japanese-style rooms are spacious and have tatami mats, so we recommend this one, as even children will not have to worry about falling over. You can relax and enjoy the view of nature from the veranda, and the view of the vast Mount Yufu from the bath is Breathtaking view, making it a perfect place to make memories. We also recommend meals for children.

The hospitality from the moment we arrived at the inn was excellent. Our guest room was a detached building, but our supervisor, Nakai-san, provided attentive service until we left. What impressed me was that he reflected our preferences, learned from a casual conversation, in the breakfast the next day. There are three rooms, each with open-air bath and an indoor bath. This is an inn where you can forget about time and spend your time whenever you like without worrying about being seen by others.

Since it is a small Ryokan (Japanese inn), you won't have to move around the building much, and you can relax and enjoy a quiet stay. Dinner will be served in your room, and breakfast will be served in the hall. Rooms on the first floor have their own bath. I think the second floor is accessed by stairs, so depending on your age, the first floor might be better. The best thing about this inn is the delicious food.
