It is located almost in the center of the hot spring town, so it is convenient for walking around. There is a plan for staying only, but it is a little expensive. There are indoor baths and large open-air baths for men and women, and you can enjoy sulfur springs, which are rare in Kurokawa Onsen. There are two restaurants within a two-minute walk from the hotel.

Here you can fully enjoy the sand bath, a specialty of Ibusuki Onsen. There is also a bathhouse that recreates a large bathhouse from the Edo and Genroku periods in Japan. The bathhouse is as large as a pool, so you can enjoy bathing in a spacious space.

Ibusuki Royal Hotel does not have a sand bath on site, but they provide a free shuttle bus to a place where sand baths are available, so it wasn't a problem. The large public bath and open-air bath in the hotel had good quality water and a nice view. We also enjoyed the delicious shochu and Satsuma Kuroge Wagyu steak, as well as other dishes made with local ingredients.

If you are in Kagoshima, be sure to try the sand bath at Ibusuki Onsen. This is a traditional Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) offers a sand bath with a foot bath. There is a large bath, an open-air bath, and two private hot springs. The food is also famous for the black pork shabu-shabu kaiseki course meal, and as the sea is nearby, you can enjoy kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）using delicious seafood. You can also enjoy authentic shochu.

The Japanese kaiseki cuisine made with a lot of local ingredients. There was a boiled pumpkin, green beans, and taro, as well as Kumamoto beef. The bath was an open-air bath that was integrated with the Japanese garden, and the water was very nice and spacious. There was also a private bath, so married couple could enjoy the bath by themselves.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Yufuin Onsen that has a private bath, I recommend Yufunosho. All rooms here are independent guest cottages, so you can spend some time just for the two of you. The only hot springs available are those with indoor baths in the rooms or private hot springs. The private baths are amazing because you can soak in the water while gazing at the starry sky.

This is Ryokan (Japanese inn) that started as a sushi restaurant. I stayed in Japanese and Western room in the main building and ate in my room. The kaiseki cuisine included horse sashimi, red beef steak, and sakura natto. There is a private bath, so married couple can enjoy the hot springs together.

This hot spring inn has only 10 rooms on a vast site of about 7,000 square meters. It is located in a quiet rural area overlooking Mt. Yufu, and you can spend a relaxing time in privacy in the independent guest cottages building. Not only do all rooms have a half-open-air bath with running water, but you can also enjoy a bath in a private family bath. For dinner, you can enjoy beautiful original kaiseki cuisine made with local seasonal flavors. I think this is the perfect Ryokan (Japanese inn) to show your parents your gratitude.

I went to Yakushima 10 years ago. It is the largest hotel in Yakushima and has a 33,000m2 garden. When you enter the hotel, you are greeted by a huge Yakusugi tree that reaches up to the second floor. I don't know if it's still there, but when I went to Yakusugi Land by bus, I was surprised that the guests of Iwasaki Hotel were allowed to board even when it wasn't a bus stop, and when we came across a deer in the mountains on the way, the bus stopped and we had time to take photos. It was a wonderful trip.

I've been there a few times, both for driving from Fukuoka and for day trips. (It's a luxury hotel, so it's hard to stay there!) The open-air bath is very spacious, and the mountains spread out in front of you, Breathtaking view! After the bath, I recommend the traditional pudding at Cafe BanBan. It's a firm pudding that you could eat in cafes during the Showa era, and I go there just for that. The interior is Japanese-style, with a warm wooden feel. The meals use seasonal Japanese ingredients, so I think parents will be happy too.

This hotel is easily accessible from Tsushima Airport and is recommended for those planning to visit the island. You can enjoy a great ocean view from the terrace. You can refresh yourself after your trip in the spacious hot spring.

Ibusuki Iwasaki Hotel is a great place to enjoy the hot springs and the ocean view. There is also a sand bath inside the hotel, and after the sand bath, it feels great to take a bath in the open-air bath overlooking the ocean. It's especially good to take a bath while watching the sunrise. The food is also pretty good, so it's a hotel the whole family can enjoy.

This is an inn where you can see the hot spring town shrouded in mist in the early morning. There are rooms with open-air baths. They are basically independent guest cottages buildings. The size is about 12 tatami mats and is separated by a shoji screen. The size of the open-air bath is just right for two adults.

Unfortunately, there are no accommodations that offer free shuttle buses to Kagoshima Chuo Station. To get to Ibusuki Station and Kagoshima Chuo Station, please take the local train. At Kyuka Mura, not only can you enjoy the free-flowing Ibusuki hot spring water from the large indoor bath and the open-air bath with a view of Kinko Bay up close, but you can also enjoy a sand bath (990 yen per use). There is also a private semi-open-air bath. For dinner, you can choose your main dish and then enjoy a half-buffet style meal, so you can eat lots of local cuisine. For breakfast, there is a buffet with sweets and fruit, which gets you excited starting off with a healthy tropical breakfast.

This inn is a long-established establishment that has been in business since the end of the Edo period, and it is a quaint inn that gives you a sense of history and allows you to experience the essence of Kurokawa Onsen. The large public bath was also tasteful, and I was able to relax in it. The indoor and outdoor baths were so beautiful that I didn't want to leave. The room was relaxing, and the view of the trees from the window was wonderful. The food was steamed in a bamboo steamer using local meat and vegetables, and had an elegant taste. The other dishes also used plenty of local vegetables, and were very satisfying. The staff were very considerate, and it was a comfortable inn.

They offer a plan with no meals included, and it is relatively reasonable. It is a little outside the central area of Kurokawa Onsen, but if you are looking for value for money, it is worth staying at. Check-in time is a little early, so it is recommended if you are planning a relaxing trip at the inn.

The surrounding area is quiet and it's a wonderful inn where you can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere at the foot of Mt. Yufu. All the rooms are separate independent guest cottages with different concepts, so choosing the right room is the best part of the inn. The rooms also have their own private baths, so you can enjoy a relaxing and private stay independent guest cottages from other guests without worrying about your surroundings. The food is also delicious, and we especially recommend the Yufuin morning breakfast, which is made with ingredients from Yufuin.
