This mountain inn is known as the setting for Tajima's "Yumechiyo Nikki." The hot spring Arayu here is the hot spring with the highest temperature and volume of water in Japan, and is said to be the "Bijin-no-yu (a hot spring of beauty)" or "hot spring of beautiful skin." You can enjoy these hot springs in an open-air bath with a thatched roof or a 1200-year-old cypress bath. For meals, you can eat kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）using seasonal ingredients such as Tajima beef, Japan's finest brand of beef. In particular, the specially ordered dishes such as boiled or salt-grilled blackthroat seaperch, Tajima beef premium sirloin steak, sashimi squid, and grilled turban shell are exquisite.

It is about 500 meters from the Shinkansen station. It is near the entrance to the Yuzawa Kogen Ropeway. You can enjoy the hot springs while looking at the mountain ranges. There are two large baths and two open-air baths with different themes. There are also rooms with open-air baths (not hot springs). The meals are mainly seafood.

The building has a simple exterior that sits quietly on top of a hill, but it has a nostalgic atmosphere. For dinner, we had a large boiled golden eye and Japanese mixed rice with sakura shrimp, which was delicious, and we also enjoyed a wide variety of side dishes for breakfast. The staff were all very attentive and helpful. The sea is very close, so you can see the fireworks. Ryokan (Japanese inn) was very beautiful, the food was very sumptuous, the service was very warm, and I was very satisfied with the low price of the accommodation. It costs less than 20,000 yen per person per night. I was able to relax and was very satisfied.
