  • Hotel Gracery Sapporo
  • I'm going to the Sapporo Snow Festival. Are there any reasonably priced hotels near the venue?

Three girls are going to the Sapporo Snow Festival. We heard it's a popular event, so we want to reserve a hotel early. Are there any reasonably priced hotels that are close to the festival site? We're OK with just a room and board.

Hotel Gracery Sapporo

West 4, North 4, Chuo-ku

  • Hotel in front of JR Sapporo Station

  • The main venue for the Snow Festival is Odori Park. The nearest station is Odori Station on the subway. The nearest station to this hotel is Sapporo Station (JR/Subway), and I recommended this hotel because I assumed that you would leave your luggage there first when you arrive in Sapporo. The hotel and rooms are also clean. It is just one subway stop from here to Odori Station, and it is conveniently within walking distance if you use the underground walkway. If you want to look for a hotel in another location, please refer to the stations Odori, Sapporo, Susukino, and Nakajima Park, as these are within your walking distance.

Hotel Resol Trinity Sapporo

5-3, Oodori-Nishi, Chuo-Ku

  • Facing Odori Park (the main venue for the Snow Festival)

  • It's conveniently located near the Odori subway station exit. Sapporo Station, Susukino Station, and the TV tower are all connected underground, so you won't be cold. It's a new and neat hotel. It would be nice to get a room facing Odori Park.

Sapporo Grand Hotel

4 Nishi, Kita-Ichi-Jo Chuo-Ku

  • A long-established hotel with easy access

  • It is a well-established hotel with good access, about 5 minutes from the station via the underground passage. You can get there by underground passage even in rain or snow, so it is very easy to get around and I think it is safe for women to get around together. Since it is a well-established hotel, there is nothing new about it, but it has everything you need, so I think you will be able to stay there without any inconvenience.

APA Hotel & Resort Sapporo

1-2 Kawazoe 4-jo, Minami-Ku

  • You can also enjoy the large public bath at the APA Hotel Sapporo

  • It is a cheap and hidden gem hotel, but you can get there by subway from the center of Sapporo. It is not far from the Odori venue where the Snow Festival is held, about 30 minutes by train. The hotel also has a large public bath, so you can relax after your trip. Breakfast Buffet with about 40 types of Japanese and Western food, and they are all delicious.

Quintessa Hotel Sapporo

5-Chome, Minami 8-Jo Nishi, Chuo-ku

  • Beautiful and luxurious hotel

  • Many of the facilities run by local producers are relatively old, but this one is in a class of its own. The hotel is not only beautiful, but also luxurious and relaxing, and I was able to stay in a single room for around 6,000 yen. The Snow Festival venue is also quite close, about 15 minutes by train or 25 minutes on foot.

Dormy Inn Premium Sapporo Hot Spring

4-1, Minami 2 jo Nishi 6 chome, Chuo-ku

  • The cheapest hotel in downtown Sapporo!

  • This hotel is located in the Tanukikoji shopping arcade, and is about a 10-minute walk from Susukino and Odori Park, the venue for the Snow Festival. It's not only cheap, but it's also a clean hotel with a large public bath. Breakfast is also popular. When I stayed there, it was about 6,000 yen per person. However, during the Snow Festival, all hotels will charge a premium. It's best to make reservations early, as it's too late to do so a month in advance!

Richmond Hotel Sapporo Odori

4-1, West 4, South 2, Cyuo-Ku

  • If three people share a room...

  • I think you can get a good deal by using the Richmond Hotel Sapporo Odori 's simple room-only plan for three people. The reason I recommend this hotel is that the hotel is sophisticated and clean, and the staff are very friendly. Odori Park, where the Snow Festival is held, is also nearby!

Sapporo Garden Palace

Kita-1-Jo, Nishi-6, Chuo-Ku

  • Reasonably priced, conveniently located, safe and comfortable

  • It's conveniently located near Sapporo Station and the main street. The price is reasonable for that. It's a hotel operated by the Shigaku Kyosai, so it's a very reasonable deal. The Snow Festival is crowded everywhere, so we recommend making reservations early. Recently, many tourists have been planning their last day before the festival, or coming on the last day of the festival and getting up early the next morning to watch the snow sculptures being taken down. This will also save you money.

HOTEL MYSTAYS Sapporo Nakajima Park

1-1-20 Nishi, 14 Minami, Chuo-ku

  • A hotel with easy access to Odori Park and delicious breakfast

  • The hotel is located a 3-minute walk from Horohirabashi Station, 2nd ward from Susukino, between a park and a river, so it is surrounded by nature and is quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served Buffet style, with 70 types of healthy foods, and is very satisfying.
