When it comes to luxury Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Hakone, Bansuiro Fukuzumi is the place to go!
This is a long-established hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) that was the first active Ryokan (Japanese inn) to be designated an Important Cultural Property. It's a short walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station, but if you walk through the shopping district and cross the Hayakawa Bridge, you'll soon be there. The food is also excellent, including domestic wagyu beef steaks and alfonsino. As it's a historic building, there are no baths in the rooms, so please enjoy the hot springs inside the building.
