Directly connected to Tennoji Station, convenient for sightseeing in the city
It is directly connected to Tennoji Station and is a short walk from the Osaka Municipal Museum of Fine Arts, making it an excellent location. You will need to change trains to get to Yumeshima, but it will take about 30 minutes. During the Expo, the Kintetsu Group, a railway company, operates shuttle buses from several major stations to the Expo site, which is convenient.

Hotels around Tennoji Station are convenient
Rather than staying in Fujiidera, you may have more options if you look for a place to stay around Tennoji Station. The Tennoji Miyako Hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from Tennoji Station, and has four-person rooms that are perfect for families and groups. From Tennoji Station, you can get to Umeda and Namba with a single subway train, so it's a good place to go sightseeing other than the ancient tombs. There are plenty of places to eat around Tennoji Station, so you won't have any trouble.

It's close to Tennoji Zoo, offers a relaxing stay, and is reasonably priced.
If you come to Osaka, I recommend Tennoji Zoo. Kaiyukan is good, but it's crowded and expensive. In comparison, Tennoji Zoo is surprisingly cheap and still enjoyable. It's especially recommended if you have small children. If you save money and visit the observation deck of Abeno Harukas and conquer Tsutenkaku, you can say you've enjoyed Osaka to the fullest. This hotel is recommended as a base for doing so. The marionettes at Harukas are good, but very expensive. If you want to keep your accommodation costs down, I recommend Miyako City Osaka Tennoji, which is close to Tennoji Station.

The hotel is directly connected to the station, so it's fine even in the rain.
If you are heading towards Fujiidera and plan to use the Kintetsu line, this is probably the most convenient option. You can take an elevator to the underground ticket gate floor, so you don't have to worry about getting wet in the rain. If you come by car, there is a large parking lot shared with the Kintetsu Department Store and Abeno Harukas, where guests can park at a discounted rate. There is also good access to the JR, subway, and Hankai Tramway lines in the direction of southern Osaka, so it is easy to get to the area around Emperor Nintoku's tomb in Sakai City.
