• Sounkyo Onsen and the Ice Festival are amazing

• I recommend the Ice Waterfall Festival and Sounkyo Onsen. This ice event takes place on the riverbed of the Ishikari River, and the ice sculptures made using the natural features of the deep gorge at the foot of Mount Daisetsu are spectacular. This hotel is located on a hill about a 10-minute walk from the venue. There are three large baths and two open-air baths, each with its own unique features and great views. The view of the mountains from the observation bath was particularly Breathtaking view. There is also a picture book and encyclopedia corner and a shop, so even small children can enjoy themselves. The meals are Buffet in the morning and evening, with a selection of Japanese, Western and Chinese dishes, mainly made with ingredients from Hokkaido. The presentation was beautiful, there was a wide variety, and everything was delicious, freshly cooked in the open kitchen.

• This is the only place in Hokkaido where you can enjoy three large baths and two open-air baths that 100% natural hot spring. It is located on the highest point in Sounkyo Onsen, and has an outstanding view. With Breathtaking view unique to Sounkyo spreading out before your eyes, you can enjoy the hot springs in a blissful moment. You can also visit different Visiting hot springs in the building, which is unique to this place. Dinner is served buffet style, but it is a luxurious buffet with plenty of seafood unique to Hokkaido. There are various types of rooms, and we stayed in a deluxe twin room. We were able to relax in the spacious, high-quality space.
