A Homely and Authentic Ryokan with a Foreign Owner Who Speaks English!
The young owner is a foreigner who loves onsen(hot spring), so I think he can speak English. The official website is also available in English. The guest rooms are Japanese-style (I think all rooms are Japanese-style), and you can see the Japanese garden-like courtyard from the rooms and open-air baths, so you can really get a feel for Japan. onsen(hot spring) water flows 24 hours a day, and the meals are made with plenty of ingredients from Shinshu, such as mountain vegetables and kanroni. The owner and his wife's warm, homely service is very comfortable, and it's Ryokan (Japanese inn) that evokes a sense of nostalgia.
