Yumoto Fujiya Hotel

I often stay at the Yumoto Fujiya Hotel when I go to Hakone. As a long-established hotel, the service provided by the staff is excellent, and the food served at the French, Japanese, and Chinese restaurants is also very beautifully presented. I highly recommend it. Along with the Fujiya Hotel in Miyanoshita, it has been welcoming foreign guests for a long time, so it's reassuring to know that there are English-speaking staff. You can also use onsen(hot spring) for day trips.

Yumoto Fujiya Hotel boasts an incredibly convenient location, just across the river from Hakone-Yumoto Station. This makes it easy for your friend to drop off their luggage and start exploring the area even before check-in. I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room with two others, and it was even more lovely after its recent renovation. Dinner at their French restaurant was superb – from the design of the dishes and tableware to the flavors themselves, everything was beautiful and delicious. They also have Chinese and Japanese restaurants. The natural hot spring, "Soun-no-Yu," offers numerous baths, giving you the feeling of "onsen hopping" within the hotel. The open-air bath surrounded by nature was simply the best. I checked with their official website's chat support, and it seems they have English and Chinese-speaking staff available.

This is a prestigious, traditional Japanese-style hotel that truly embodies a sense of heritage, even for Japanese guests, so I'm confident foreign visitors will absolutely adore it. What truly stands out at this hotel is the incredible hot springs; the open-air bath, in particular, is simply superb and offers a wonderfully relaxing experience! The hotel's location in Hakone is also excellent. It's a fantastic spot that's easily accessible. You can reach it effortlessly from central Tokyo by taking the "Romancecar" limited express train. This is perfect if you prefer not to drive, as the Romancecar offers comfortable, reserved seating, making for a super convenient and stress-free journey right to Hakone-Yumoto Station.

This day trip plan includes a lunch buffet, so you can enjoy both the hot springs and meals. The day trip baths are available from 12:00 to 18:00, so enjoy the buffet first. There is a live kitchen, so you can enjoy freshly fried and grilled food. After that, head to the hot springs. Bath towels and face towels are prepared at reception desk. You can relax in the open-air bath while looking at the trees, and the sauna in the indoor bath is also very pleasant.

"I can't stay here on a regular budget trip! But I want to feel a little luxurious!" That's when I go for a day trip with a plan that includes lunch. Above all, it's easy to access from the station! It's close! I stay at another hotel on the first day, and after checking out on the second day, I take a walk in front of Yumoto Station, look at souvenirs, and then go to Yumoto Fujiya Hotel for lunch. After that, I take a bath in the hot spring and ride the Romancecar back home, still warm and cozy. It's the best!

I think the Yumoto Fujiya Hotel is good. You can take a day trip to the baths and it even has a lunch buffet. There is a pool in the summer, so you can enjoy a lot of things. At the end, please relax in the large hall before going home. I think you can enjoy it even on a day trip.
