    The Imabari International Hotel, located about a 10-minute walk from Imabari Castle, is a little pricey, but from the rooms on the higher floors you can see Imabari Castle right in front of you and enjoy the illuminated castle. Beyond that you can see the Seto Inland Sea and the Shimanami Kaido, so you'll be able to relax after your trip.

  • High class and you can bring your bike to your room

    I stayed here when I went cycling. I think it's a high-class hotel, but if you book early you can get a great deal. I was surprised at how big the beds were and how clean the rooms were. You can bring your bike in, so it's safe. Also, the large public bath is a hot spring, and there is an open-air bath and sauna, which is a great way to relieve your tired body.

  • An Imabari hotel close to the Shimanami Kaidō

    Imabari Kokusai Hotel is conveniently located near the Shimanami Kaido and is a great base for exploring the Setouchi area. Imabari is famous for shipbuilding, brand-name towels, and the Murakami Suigun, a famous naval clan. You can take a leisurely stroll to watch the sunset over the Setouchi Sea and visit Imabari Castle, as everything is within walking distance. It's also easy to get to Matsuyama from here, which is just an hour away by car or train. In Matsuyama, you can visit Dogo Onsen, Okudogo (especially beautiful in autumn), the famous Matsuyama Castle, the Shiki-do (house of the poet Shiki Masaoka), and even ride the Botchan Train. Enjoy everything Imabari has to offer!
