  • Ikaho Onsen Shinki
  • Are there any English support accommodations in Ikaho Onsen?

I'm taking a friend from abroad to Ikaho Onsen. I'm worried that my friend, who doesn't understand Japanese, will feel uneasy every time I leave my seat. I'd like to know a hot spring inn where the staff can speak English and where foreigners can spend time without worrying about the language barrier!

Ikaho Onsen Shinki

557-34 Ikahocho, Shibukawa-shi,

  • This is a lodge that offers full service.

  • If you are looking for an inn in Ikaho Onsen that offers English service, I recommend this one. There are many foreign tourists in Ikaho Onsen, so you don't have to worry about anything. If you come across a foreigner in need of help, they will gladly speak to you, so everyone is happy.

Hotel Kogure

135 Ikaho, Ikaho-machi, Shibukawa-city

  • Although the quality is not high, you can still communicate with foreigners who speak English.

  • At one point they were dealing with inbound tourists, so it seems they have a customer service manual in English. As a hot spring resort, it's one of the country's leading tourist destinations, so there's no problem at all. Many of the buildings are registered cultural properties of Japan, so it's definitely worth a visit. There are 21 baths, and you can enjoy Ikaho Onsen 's proud golden waters in a free-flowing bath. There are various baths, including a mist sauna, dry sauna, open-air cold water bath, open-air bath, and massage bath. There is also a germanium bedrock bath, but this is available for a fee. Meals are Japanese kaiseki and breakfast is Buffet, with Western food available as well, and there is plenty of local cuisine.

Mimatsukan

131, Ikahomachi Ikaho

  • open-air bath with a view of the foothills of Joshu and the Ryukyu tatami bath are popular with foreigner too.

  • "Mimatsukan" is a popular hot spring inn that is often used by foreigners. It is in a great location, just a 3-minute walk from the "Stone Steps Street," the tourist symbol of Ikaho Onsen, and has an open-air observation bath with a panoramic view of the foothills of Joshu, so I think you will be satisfied and this inn is a good choice.

Omori

Ikaho-machi Ikaho 58

  • There is an open-air bath on the rooftop with Breathtaking view.

  • "Wagokoro no Yado Omori" is an inn that offers English service. It is a long-established inn that was founded over 100 years ago, and you can enjoy a Japanese atmosphere in a lovely Japanese-style room or Japanese and Western room. There is an open-air bath on the rooftop with a Breathtaking view, and you can enjoy a drink while soaking in the tub. There is also a private open-air bath, so you can enjoy a private bath. Dinner is kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ), and you can also drink delicious local sake.

  • This is an inn that many foreigner visit.

  • From my experience, I got the impression that there are many foreign guests and that the service is attentive and many guests are satisfied. It seems that they can provide support in not only English but also Chugoku. The staff are friendly and it is a truly enjoyable inn. That will not change even if you are the only foreigner staying.
