Looking for Luxury Ryokans with Breathtaking Infinity Onsen!
I've been seeing those amazing infinity onsen on Instagram—the ones where the hot spring seems to merge right into the landscape. I'd love to experience one for myself! Can anyone recommend some top-tier onsen ryokans that have one? This is a special trip to treat myself and unwind from work, so budget isn't an issue. I'm looking for the best of the best!
- Since you mentioned that budget isn't an issue for your special trip, I highly recommend staying in the new 'Sora-kan' (Sky Wing). Our room was incredibly spacious with a chic, sophisticated interior that was just lovely. The best part was the window, which gave us a private, panoramic view of Beppu Bay.
Guests of the Sora-kan wing also get exclusive access to 'Sora-yu,' a scenic rooftop onsen. It has a much calmer and more intimate atmosphere compared to the main 'Tanayu' baths, allowing you to enjoy the view in a more private setting. The dining was also a special experience, with a dedicated restaurant for Sora-kan guests serving a magnificent buffet.ナキウサギ's answer (Posted on:2025/10/ 9)

More Than an Onsen: A Full-Blown Spa & Entertainment Resort!
- While the Suginoi Hotel has a fantastic view from its scenic open-air bath, that's just the beginning of the fun. They have "The Aqua Garden," an outdoor hot spring park where you can wear swimsuits. At night, it completely transforms with a spectacular fountain show synchronized to music and lights. Watching this dynamic show while relaxing in the warm onsen water feels like you're at a world-class resort's nightly entertainment event.
But that's not all! There are events all over the hotel, like projection mapping shows, so there's always something happening to keep you entertained all day. It's the perfect place if you want to enjoy a healing onsen experience while also having an active, fun-filled stay.夏希's answer (Posted on:2025/10/ 9)

The View from the 'Tanayu' Onsen is Absolutely Breathtaking
- The "Tanayu," the signature open-air onsen at the Suginoi Hotel, is the very definition of a spectacular infinity bath. It's designed with five tiers of baths that spread out like terraced rice paddies (tanada). The feeling of merging with the panoramic view of Beppu Bay and the city below is so beautiful it will leave you speechless.
I especially recommend going in the morning. Watching the sun rise over Beppu Bay while you soak in the warm water is a truly moving experience. At night, the view transforms again as the city lights glitter and sparkle, offering a stunning scene you could gaze at all day and never get tired of.まこぴー's answer (Posted on:2025/10/ 9)

hot spring and hot spring pools are infinity
- Suginoi Hotel is the most famous hotel in Beppu. Both the hot spring and the hot spring pool are infinity. It is located at a high place, so the view is excellent. As the name suggests, Tanayu has a 5-story structure and has an indoor bath, a semi-open-air bath, and an open-air bath. There are many types of hot spring pools, so you can enjoy them in various ways.コリドラス's answer (Posted on:2020/12/16)
