Our room was incredibly spacious with a chic, sophisticated interior that was just lovely. The best part was the window, which gave us a private, panoramic view of Beppu Bay. Guests of the Sora-kan wing also get exclusive access to 'Sora-yu,' a scenic rooftop onsen. It has a much calmer and more intimate atmosphere compared to the main 'Tanayu' baths, allowing you to enjoy the view in a more private setting. The dining was also a special experience, with a dedicated restaurant for Sora-kan guests serving a magnificent buffet.

• The "Tanayu," the signature open-air onsen at the Suginoi Hotel, is the very definition of a spectacular infinity bath. It's designed with five tiers of baths that spread out like terraced rice paddies (tanada). The feeling of merging with the panoramic view of Beppu Bay and the city below is so beautiful it will leave you speechless. I especially recommend going in the morning. Watching the sun rise over Beppu Bay while you soak in the warm water is a truly moving experience. At night, the view transforms again as the city lights glitter and sparkle, offering a stunning scene you could gaze at all day and never get tired of.​​​​
