What hotels or Ryokan (Japanese inn) would you recommend for a sightseeing trip to Itsukushima Shrine?
I'm planning to go on a trip to Itsukushima Shrine this fall. My main goal is to visit Itsukushima Shrine, but I'd also like to explore the surrounding area. Could you please tell me the recommended sightseeing route, and recommended hotels and Ryokan (Japanese inn)?
13Hotel rankings chosen by people
- Once you get to Itsukushima, your options for accommodation will be limited and you won't be able to explore much, so I recommend a hotel on the main island of Hiroshima. This hotel is located directly across the sea from Itsukushima Shrine, and has a great view. There is also a private open-air bath where you can relax while enjoying Breathtaking view. Please try staying there.るき's answer (Posted on:2016/10/17)

Luxury accommodation in Miyajima, Hiroshima
- It's a high-end inn in Hiroshima, so if you're going to Miyajima to celebrate something, consider staying at Iwaso. It's a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) on Miyajima that's loved by many people. Miyajima is not well known, but it's the island of Shugendo. If you climb Mt. Misen, you'll find many Shugendo ruins. The fires lit by the ascetics were revered as lighthouses for ships traveling in the Seto Inland Sea. This inn is located in Momijidani, at the foot of Mt. Misen.ステレンキョウ's answer (Posted on:2017/5/30)

Hotels directly connected to Hiroshima Station
- I visit Hiroshima at least twice a year to support baseball and soccer teams. The most convenient place to get around Hiroshima is the Hotel Granvia Hiroshima in front of Hiroshima Station. It is directly connected to Hiroshima Station. Itsukushima Shrine is about an hour and 10 minutes away by train and ferry. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes and was delicious.名古屋熊's answer (Posted on:2016/8/ 4)

This is the closest hotel to Itsukushima Shrine.
- This hotel has a view of the large torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima from the window, depending on the direction of the room. It is an inn on the island side, less than 50 meters independent guest cottages in a straight line. Miyajima gets very crowded in the fall, so it is better to make a reservation early.あぶ's answer (Posted on:2016/7/26)

The view from the open-air bath is amazing
- I was wondering whether to stay on the Honshu side or on Miyajima side. I would recommend planning your trip so that you can stay on Miyajima so that you can enjoy the night cruise of Itsukushima Shrine. If you stay on Miyajima, I recommend this inn, where you can enjoy the light-up from the open-air bath before and after the cruise. The hotel is not too big, so you can expect a homely hospitality.とろとろ's answer (Posted on:2016/7/31)

The hotel is located right next to Miyajimaguchi
- The location is excellent. It's right next to Miyajimaguchi, so you don't even need to go to the ferry terminal. Therefore, it's convenient to go to the ferry, so you can enjoy it twice, by taking a night cruise around Itsukushima Shrine at night and taking the ferry to Itsukushima Shrine during the day. There is also a parking lot, so you can leave your car at the hotel and go sightseeing at Itsukushima Shrine, so it is recommended for those who go by car. The rooms are spacious and the price is quite reasonable.お米大好きっこ's answer (Posted on:2017/5/25)

Great value public lodging with easy access to public transport
- It's in a prime location in the center of Hiroshima, but it's a public accommodation, so it's a great deal. It's popular and often fully booked, so you need to make a reservation early. It's very convenient because public transportation is almost right on the doorstep, and the train goes directly to the Itsukushima ferry terminal. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are clean, so I often use it.真田まるお's answer (Posted on:2016/10/ 8)

Sightseeing in Hiroshima city is also recommended
- If you're going there anyway, it's a good idea to combine it with sightseeing in Hiroshima city. Miyajima, where Itsukushima Shrine is located, is not far from Hiroshima city and is not large, so you can enjoy it as a day trip from Hiroshima city. Hiroshima is a place that Japanese people should visit at least once, with places like the Atomic Bomb Dome and the Memorial Hall. This hotel is just a stone's throw from the Shinkansen exit of Hiroshima Station. The bus stop to Hiroshima Airport is also nearby, so it's convenient for both the Shinkansen and planes.おかか99's answer (Posted on:2016/7/27)

Miyajima coastal hotels
-
Hiroshima Prefecture is famous for Hiroshima City. It is famous for the Atomic Bomb Dome, and this year, US President Obama also visited Japan, which was very moving. Miyajima is famous for its vermilion torii gates, but I recommend staying at a hotel near the coastline. When the sea is high tide, the buildings shine beautifully.sironeko's answer (Posted on:2016/8/ 7)
