  • What hotels or Ryokan (Japanese inn) would you recommend for a sightseeing trip to Itsukushima Shrine?

I'm planning to go on a trip to Itsukushima Shrine this fall. My main goal is to visit Itsukushima Shrine, but I'd also like to explore the surrounding area. Could you please tell me the recommended sightseeing route, and recommended hotels and Ryokan (Japanese inn)?

  • Reasonably priced inn with hot springs

  • Once you get to Itsukushima, your options for accommodation will be limited and you won't be able to explore much, so I recommend a hotel on the main island of Hiroshima. This hotel is located directly across the sea from Itsukushima Shrine, and has a great view. There is also a private open-air bath where you can relax while enjoying Breathtaking view. Please try staying there.

  • The hotel is on the Honshu side of Hiroshima.

  • This hotel has a view of Itsukushima Shrine from the Honshu side. When making a reservation, be sure to pay attention to the direction of the window and ask for a room on the south side. Meals are mainly seafood dishes made with plenty of fresh seafood from the Seto Inland Sea. You can also eat Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki.
