• If you are looking for a cheap place to stay in Gero Onsen, Gifu, I recommend the hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) "Yukai Resort Gero Saichoraku Honkan Yukai." You can stay at a relatively reasonable price. And yet, the baths and meals are good, and it's hard to find a place that is inferior to other inns.

• Meals are served Buffet style, but compared to Ryokan (Japanese inn), there is no extra charge for single occupancy, so you can stay here for a very reasonable price. The baths are excellent, and there is a direct bus from the Osaka area, so I think this is a place to stay that suits your needs.

• This is a Yukai Resort inn, and there are direct buses from all directions, so its convenience is one of its attractions. The hot spring water is gentle on the skin, and you can relax while looking at the scenery. You can also enjoy the open-air bath in the annex by taking a shuttle bus, so it's a great deal. Buffet had a wide variety of food, and the local specialties such as chicken chanyaki were delicious. There are also many tourist spots in the area, such as Onsenji Temple and Gero Onsen Shrine.
