I'm going on a graduation trip to Japan with a foreign friend! Are there any hot spring inns around Izu and Hakone where we can wear swimsuits and bathe in the hot springs?
I'm planning to go on a graduation trip with my friends from an international school. Many of the kids are uncomfortable being naked, so I'm looking for a hot spring where we can go in swimsuits. I'd like to go to a hot spring in Izu or Hakone! Ideally, we'd like a room where four of us can stay in one, but we're also OK with splitting up into groups of two. Thank you.

- This hotel is located in Hakone Yugawara Onsen. The open-air bath has a great view, a lot of water, and the quality of the water is excellent. You can bathe in a swimsuit. The large public bath is spacious, so friends can stretch out and relax in the bath. The rooms are elegant Japanese-style rooms and can accommodate up to four people, so it would be fun to lay out the futons and chat at night. They also serve Wagyu steak meals, so friends who grew up abroad can enjoy Japanese food.心's answer (Posted on:2023/10/25)

A hot spring facility in Izu, Shizuoka where you can wear swimsuits
- This is an inn in Izu where you can bathe in a hot spring while wearing a swimsuit. There are several plans for a Japanese-Japanese and Western room that can accommodate up to four people. There are also nine types of baths that use sodium, chloride, and sulfate hot springs, and 13 animal sculptures, so you can bathe in a swimsuit at this hot spring spa. As for meals, they serve a Buffet style menu centered on fresh seafood and mountain produce caught in Izu. The specially ordered dish, simmered golden-eyed snapper, is particularly delicious.うまき's answer (Posted on:2023/10/25)

A hotel where you can enjoy the historic Shuzenji Onsen in a spacious public bath
-
Many hot springs where you can wear swimsuits tend to be quite expensive, but here you can stay in a room with four people and enjoy a plan with two meals included for around 20,000 yen. Swimsuits are allowed in the large public bath, which has large windows for an open feel. You can enjoy the hot springs while looking at the forest scenery from the windows on three independent guest cottages. There are also plenty of other facilities, such as a rock sauna, fitness gym, and activities. Shuzenji Onsen is one of the most historic hot springs in Izu, having been in operation for 1,200 years, so it's sure to be a great conversation starter for people who grew up abroad. There is a shuttle bus from the station, so it's easy to get to.チャビ's answer (Posted on:2023/10/25)
