Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel

12 Tokachigawa Onsen Minami, Otofuke-cho, Katou-gun

  • The facilities are well-equipped, including a wine cellar and a kids' playroom.

  • If you are in Tokachi Onsen, "Dai-Ichi Hotel Hoshutei/Toyotei" is a good choice. You can get a panoramic view of the Tokachi River and the magnificent Tokachi scenery from the inn. I stayed at "Toyotei", which is a Japanese-modern building. The bath was very spacious and open. I was able to relax in the hot spring while feeling the nature of Tokachi close by. There was also a wine cellar where you could enjoy wines from Hokkaido to around the world. There is also a kids' playroom and amenities for children, so it is also recommended for family stays. There are several restaurants to choose from, including teppanyaki and Japanese kaiseki.

  • Food and hot springs are both good

  • We stayed for one night on our wedding anniversary. It was winter, but we were soothed by the mall hot springs and very satisfied with the delicious food. When the staff found out it was our wedding anniversary, they congratulated us and prepared a surprise anniversary cake plate at the end of the teppanyaki meal. We are grateful for the thoughtfulness of the staff.

  • A lovely inn located on the banks of the Tokachi River

  • This inn offers two accommodation plans, "Hoshotei" and "Toyotei," and I stayed at "Hoshotei." This plan offers a higher-class stay. First of all, there is a private lounge, and the procedure was very easy. There is also a free drink bar and a library, so it was a very convenient stay. From the balcony of the deluxe room, you can see the Tokachi River flowing in front of you, and the Hidaka Mountains in the distance. There is also an open-air bath next to the balcony, so you can enjoy a relaxing bath time. The herbal tea after the meal and the morning service of yogurt and bread delivered from a farm in Tokachi were also great.

  • A relaxing hotel

  • The best thing about Tokachi Onsen is the soft water. The water is a little thick and brown in color, but I like it because it helps relieve my body's fatigue. The food is also quite luxurious, and you can enjoy the bounty of Hokkaido. It's located along the river, so the view is open and it's perfect for a walk. It's a beautiful river where swans visit in winter.

  • A room with a view of the Tokachi River and a large glass-walled bath

  • The Tokachi River and the vast land spread out in front of the hotel, offering Breathtaking view. The rooms are Japanese-style and Western-style, and have a modern design with windows overlooking the Tokachi River. There are also rooms with open-air baths, but the large glass-walled bath is spacious and the view outside is of nature, so it feels open. In the open-air bath, you can Lying-down bath while listening to the sound of the flowing waterfall. You can enjoy dishes made with local ingredients.

  • Modern and stylish room.

  • Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel offers modern, calming rooms with river views. Some rooms even have their own hot spring, so you can enjoy a bath without having to go to the large communal bath. The bath is a moor hot spring, a distinctive spring that contains a lot of organic matter. It is said to be good for beautiful skin. The hotel serves meals made with ingredients from Tokachi. It is about 30 minutes by bus from Obihiro. It is even more convenient if you have a rental car. Prices are also reasonable.
