• If you are staying in Takayama, I recommend Associa Takayama Resort, although it is a bit expensive. The basic way to get there is by car, but even if you go by train, there is a shuttle bus running at all times, so it is not a hassle. There are many different types of baths, the views are outstanding, and both summer and winter have their own merits, so you can relax after your trip.

• I stayed here as a base for sightseeing in Hida. The room was spacious and elegantly decorated, which was quite satisfactory, but the room key did not have an automatic lock. A bus runs between Takayama Station and the hotel, so I was able to sightsee without having to worry about crowds or parking, which was very convenient. I only had breakfast, but the variety and taste were delicious, especially the Hida milk. I would like to stay here again.

• We recommend Takayama Green Hotel in Hida Takayama Onsen. It is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from the west exit of Takayama Station. The hot spring is from the hotel's own hot spring source, and the slightly warm water is extremely comfortable as it seeps into your body from the core. Since it is a cold region, the hot spring feels even more comfortable. There is also a large souvenir shop inside the hotel, so it is fun to choose local specialties. • This is a top-class resort inn in Shogawa. Surrounded only by the vast nature of Hida, it is the perfect place to relax. The interior is luxurious and elegant. From the open-air bath, Breathtaking view spread out before you. At night, you can go out to the terrace and look at the starry sky. For dinner, we had a kaiseki meal with melt-in-your-mouth Hida beef. It was a half-buffet style, and we were able to freely sample local cuisine, which was very good.
