  • International Hotel Tamatsukuri
  • If I were to go with my parents to a hot spring resort in Sanin for two days and one night, what hot spring inn would you recommend?

Are there any inns in hot spring areas in the Sanin region where I can stay for around 10,000 to 20,000 yen per night during the summer vacation? Please let me know the average price and any recommended inns.

International Hotel Tamatsukuri

148-2 Yumachi, Tamayu-cho, Matsue-shi

  • A hotel located on the shores of Lake Shinji

  • I recommend this hotel located on the shores of Lake Shinji in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. The building is old, but clean. The open-air observation bath overlooking Lake Shinji offers a spectacular view that will impress you. You can enjoy the view of Lake Shinji from the restaurant and the rooms. For meals, we chose the Buffet plan for both breakfast and dinner. There was a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes on the menu, including meat and seafood, and everything was delicious.

Ryokan Izutsuya

1535 Yu, Shinonsencho, Mikata gun

  • Accommodation in Yumura Onsen

  • It is relatively close to the Keihanshin area, yet has a strong Sanin atmosphere. Geographically, the Tottori Sand Dunes are not far away, but the hot spring resort itself is in the mountains. It is a spacious and comfortable Ryokan (Japanese inn) where Emperor Showa has stayed.

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Miyoshiya

Mikata gun Shinonsen cho Yu 1671-3

  • Popular Hotels in Yumura Onsen

  • This resort hotel is located on the riverside among the mountains in Yumura Onsen, Hyogo Prefecture. There are many tourist spots around the hotel, such as soba noodle making experience, Hachiman Shrine, Shofukuji Temple, Arayu, the source of Yumura Onsen, and Hamasaka Fishing Port. Although it is a popular chain hotel, it has an open-air bath that feels like a hidden hot spring. The food is Buffet that everyone can enjoy, with a wide variety of menu items. The price is also reasonable compared to other accommodations in Yumura Onsen.

Hotel Gyokusen

Tamayucho Tamatsukuri 53-2

  • Natural hot spring water for beautiful skin

  • Located about a 5-minute drive from JR Sanin Main Line's "Tamatsukuri Onsen Station," "Kyokusui no Niwa Hotel Gyokusen" has an indoor bath, sauna, open-air bath, jacuzzi, and more, so you can relax and enjoy the skin-beautifying hot springs. The food is also full of local and seasonal dishes, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Yumoto Kanko Hotel Saikyo

Fukawayumoto 1051

  • A hot spring inn in the mountains on the western edge of Sanin

  • Yumoto Onsen is a quiet hot spring resort located in a quiet mountain valley up the Otozure River from Nagato City, a town on the western edge of the San'in region. Even though it is a mountain inn, it is only about an hour's drive from Senzaki Fishing Port in Nagato City, and fresh seafood is abundantly on the dining table. Squid fishing is particularly popular in this area, so the squid course meal is recommended. The hot spring has a long history of over 600 years and is famous for its skin-beautifying waters.

  • Matsue Lake Shinji Onsen

  • This inn is located near Lake Shinji in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, near Shinjiko Onsen Station. It was a relatively reasonable stay. There are plenty of services to enjoy the sunset, and there is also a lake view spa where you can see the lake, so you can fully enjoy Lake Shinji.

Kidukuri no yado Hashizuya

  • Enjoy Misasa Onsen at a cozy inn

  • I recommend "Hashizuya" in Misasa Onsen, Tottori Prefecture. It is a small inn located along the river. The entire building is covered with tatami mats, so you don't need to wear slippers. This inn actually serves very cheap and reasonably priced crab in the winter, but the chef is very skilled, so you can enjoy the food even in the summer. You can enjoy baths with different atmospheres, such as a large bath with 100% natural hot spring, a independent guest cottages bath built in a storehouse, and a private bath.

Tabinoyado Kiunsoh

  • Hot springs in World Heritage Sites

  • How about "Kiunso" located in a World Heritage Site? You can enjoy high quality hot springs and fresh fish dishes. Located in the quiet and rustic center of the hot spring town, I stayed in a independent guest cottages guest room across the courtyard. If you are on a budget, you will be able to stay for about 20,000 yen on weekdays.

Shikinoyado SAHIMENO

2078-2,Shigaku,Sanbe-Town

  • A hotel located in the heart of Mt. Sanbe

  • We recommend Hisameno, located in the heart of Mt. Sanbe in Ota City, Shimane Prefecture. You can enjoy Sanbe Onsen in the large communal bath and open-air bath. It's a great deal because you can stay for a reasonable price even with meals included. The rooms overlook the Sanbe mountains and have a sense of openness. For dinner, you can choose from several plans, including a Japanese banquet that focuses on ingredients and local cuisine from Shimane Prefecture. Breakfast is a healthy Japanese set meal. There is also a souvenir corner, karaoke, manga corner, and a ping-pong table, so you won't get bored.
