• I recommend this hotel located on the shores of Lake Shinji in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. The building is old, but clean. The open-air observation bath overlooking Lake Shinji offers a spectacular view that will impress you. You can enjoy the view of Lake Shinji from the restaurant and the rooms. For meals, we chose the Buffet plan for both breakfast and dinner. There was a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes on the menu, including meat and seafood, and everything was delicious.

• If you stay within your budget and get two meals included, you'll be staying on a weekday, but I recommend the beautiful large bath with a view of Lake Shinji. They will pick you up from JR Tamatsukuri Onsen Station for free. There is a promenade along Lake Shinji, and the sunrise and sunset you can see from there are very beautiful. The food is delicious, with a Japanese-Western kaiseki meal using Shimane Wagyu beef and seafood. In winter, they also serve Matsuba crab and Nodoguro seabass.
