  • Isekaguraba Resort Sennomori
  • Accommodation near Ise Shrine [Aichi Prefecture, Japan]

My family of three would like to visit Ise Shrine for the New Year. We would like to stay at Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a private open-air bath or a room with an open-air bath. Our budget is about 20,000 to 30,000 yen per person per night, for two nights.

Isekaguraba Resort Sennomori

1165-1 Ikenoue, Souchicho

  • There are open-air baths and private baths available.

  • Dinner was a plentiful meal of abalone, Matsusaka beef, and spiny lobster, and the seasoning was just right. I also liked the fact that I could choose the type of tempura I wanted. I chose a room with an open-air bath, and there were very few bugs, even though it was midsummer, so I was able to enjoy the bath at my leisure. The staff were very polite and I was very satisfied.

  • Enjoy Mie specialties

  • It is about a 15-minute drive from Tamaki IC on the Ise Expressway. It is about a 10-minute drive from Ise Nishi IC on the Ise Expressway. You can also go by train, as there is a pick-up service at Kintetsu Ujiyamada. It is about a 15-minute drive to the Outer Shrine and the Inner Shrine. The Mie specialty food plan includes delicious dishes such as spiny lobster, Matsusaka beef, and abalone.

  • Stay within your budget

  • Access is convenient as they will take you to and from Ujiyamada Station in 15 minutes by car. We recommend the private open-air bath and the rooms with open-air baths. There are facilities for tennis, table tennis, and other sports, so it's fun to get a little exercise. You can choose from dishes that include Matsusaka beef and spiny lobster, so you can enjoy both if you stay for two nights.

Ryosou Uminochou Ryokan

1693Futamichomatsushita,Ise

  • It's a hotel with Breathtaking view.

  • As the hotel's name suggests, all rooms have an ocean view. It is located on high ground, and the windows in the rooms are large and offer a spectacular Breathtaking view. You can also see the ocean from the large public bath, so you can enjoy the hot spring atmosphere while feeling a sense of freedom. The food is kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with local ingredients, and is sure to leave you very satisfied.

  • A hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a private beach

  • This inn is located just before Toba, a short drive east from Ise Shrine after exiting the Ise Interchange on the Ise Expressway. The inn's grounds are very spacious, and there are walking trails and even a private beach. There are rooms with open-air baths, so you can relax in the hot springs with your family before heading out to Ise Shrine the next day.

Toba Hotel International

1-23-1 Toba

  • Recommended for New Year's holiday travel

  • This hotel has a relaxing atmosphere and is highly recommended in Toba, a tourist destination in Mie Prefecture. It is in a great location, with views of Toba Bay and Cape Irago from the guest rooms. This hotel is also convenient for accessing Ise Grand Shrine. If you choose a room with an open-air bath, you can enjoy the bath in a private setting.

  • Good view, good food

  • This is a regular place where I always stay, and the view from the rooms to Toba Bay, Kamishima, and Cape Irago is amazing. There are Japanese and Western dishes, but I recommend the French Western dish. It's just 15 minutes to Ise Shrine, so it's just right. There is no private open-air bath, but luxurious rooms with open-air baths.

Hamachiyokan - Vacation STAY 56027v

537-26 Chaya Futamimachi Hamachiyokan

  • There is a private open-air bath where the lights create a wonderful atmosphere.

  • The private open-air bath here has just the right amount of indirect lighting, so you can enjoy the starry sky. This seaside inn has Futamiura right in front of it, and has a great view. The food was a kaiseki meal with plenty of fresh local seafood, and I was happy to also get to eat spiny lobster sashimi. Children's meals are available, so it's something the whole family can enjoy. I stayed in a regular room and used the private bath, but there are also rooms with open-air baths, so you might want to try one of those.

  • An inn that boasts hot springs and seafood

  • I used this hotel when I went to visit the shrine to enjoy the hot springs and seafood. It is located in Futami, a 20-minute drive from Ise, and has a private open-air bath. It cost about 15,000 yen per person for one night in a Japanese-style room with two meals. The spiny lobster and abalone for dinner were fresh and delicious. The lobby, baths, and rooms all had a modern Japanese feel and were clean, so it was comfortable.

Todaya

1-24-26 Toba

  • The bath is nice

  • In addition to the large public bath, there are many other baths, so you can enjoy bathing in different baths. The most popular is the raccoon bath, and there are many other themed baths scattered around the hotel. Depending on the time, you can use the private baths for free. If you want to bathe whenever you want, we recommend staying in a room with an open-air bath.

Ryokan Ikyu with Private Bath facility

679-2 Ujitachicho, Ise-shi

  • As expected, a hotel on the side of the shrine

  • If it's not peak season, you can stay here within your budget. There is also a private bath if you wish, so you can relax. Ise Shrine is just a short walk away, just past Okage Yokocho. As it is on the Ise Shrine side, I was happy to see that they made special arrangements for morning and evening visits.
