  • Hamachiyokan - Vacation STAY 56027v
  • Accommodation near Ise Shrine [Aichi Prefecture, Japan]

My family of three would like to visit Ise Shrine for the New Year. We would like to stay at Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a private open-air bath or a room with an open-air bath. Our budget is about 20,000 to 30,000 yen per person per night, for two nights.

Hamachiyokan - Vacation STAY 56027v

537-26 Chaya Futamimachi Hamachiyokan

  • There is a private open-air bath where the lights create a wonderful atmosphere.

  • The private open-air bath here has just the right amount of indirect lighting, so you can enjoy the starry sky. This seaside inn has Futamiura right in front of it, and has a great view. The food was a kaiseki meal with plenty of fresh local seafood, and I was happy to also get to eat spiny lobster sashimi. Children's meals are available, so it's something the whole family can enjoy. I stayed in a regular room and used the private bath, but there are also rooms with open-air baths, so you might want to try one of those.

  • An inn that boasts hot springs and seafood

  • I used this hotel when I went to visit the shrine to enjoy the hot springs and seafood. It is located in Futami, a 20-minute drive from Ise, and has a private open-air bath. It cost about 15,000 yen per person for one night in a Japanese-style room with two meals. The spiny lobster and abalone for dinner were fresh and delicious. The lobby, baths, and rooms all had a modern Japanese feel and were clean, so it was comfortable.
