Recommended accommodations when visiting Oarai Beach in Ibaraki Prefecture
I'm planning to go to Oarai Beach in Ibaraki Prefecture in August. Can you recommend any accommodations near there or in an easily accessible area? My budget is 30,000 yen.

You need a car to get to the beach, but it's not too far away. It's a public inn, but the facilities were clean and there is a large public bath. The food is pretty good, too. It's also convenient for going to the aquarium.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/7/23)

Near JR station
- If you are planning to go to Sun Beach, there are few accommodations near the coast and it is crowded, so it is recommended to stay near Mito Station. From Mito Station, take the Kashima Rinkai Railway Oarai Kashima Line to Oarai Station and then take a bus to Sun Beach. If you are going to Aqua World (Oarai Aquarium) or other places, there is a bus from Oarai Station, but if that is your main destination, it is also a good idea to stay near Katsuta Station. From Katsuta Station, take the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway to Nakaminato and then take a bus from there. In this case, Life Inn Katsuta Eki Nishi or Katsuta Plaza Business Hotel would be convenient. Katsuta is also convenient for the National Hitachi Seaside Park. Buses leave from Katsuta Station approximately every 20 minutes. In August, zinnias and lilies will probably be in bloom.ステレンキョウ's answer (Posted on:2014/7/26)

It's affordable and close to home!
- There aren't many accommodations around Oarai. There are some if you go a little further away, such as Mito or Hitachinaka City, but if you're concerned about accessibility, I personally recommend staying here. This hotel is a nationwide chain, so you can stay there with peace of mind, unlike privately run hotels, which can be extremely hit or miss.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/7/23)

You can relax after a long day of playing.
- This hotel has great customer service, so you can relax comfortably after having fun in Oarai. They also provide proper support for families, and during the busy season in August, hotels are judged by their staff's responsiveness. If you're going to stay here, you want to have fun in a good mood, right? This is a place where families can stay with peace of mind.ジャッフル's answer (Posted on:2014/7/25)

Ryokan (Japanese inn) with delicious fish dishes
- It is indeed a traditional Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn). In winter, it is famous for monkfish, and in summer, it serves delicious rock oysters, abalone, and clams. The salt-grilled clams, which are so big they could fit in the palm of a child's hand, are particularly delicious, with a rich, seashore aroma. Although it is not a hot spring, you can also enjoy a private bath at your leisure.はなママ's answer (Posted on:2014/7/23)
