  • Hyatt Regency Kyoto
  • I'm going to visit shrines in Kyoto. I'm looking for a hotel that has English-speaking staff.

I'm planning to visit some shrines in Kyoto. I'd like to stay at a hotel where English is spoken at check-in. If you know of any good hotels, please let me know.

Hyatt Regency Kyoto

644-2 Sanjusangendo Mawari, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto-shi

  • Close to Sanjusangendo Temple

  • If you are interested in shrines, Sanjusangendo is a recommended tourist spot. Here, you can see a row of statues of the wind gods and thunder gods, as well as Kannon statues, which are a highlight. There are many different poses of the statues' hands, each with a different meaning, so try imagining what they mean. The hotel is within walking distance of Sanjusangendo and is a modern Japanese building that is typical of Kyoto. It is also easily accessible to the airport. There are many staff members who are used to dealing with foreign tourists, so you will feel at ease.

  • Contemporary Japanese concept

  • It's convenient for sightseeing as it's close to the Kyoto Museum and Sanjusangendo Temple. As it's a Hilton hotel, English should be understood without any problems. As it's in Kyoto, it has a Japanese atmosphere, with low beds and kimono-patterned headboards. I think foreigners will be pleased. There is also a free taxi service from JR Kyoto Station to the hotel, although it's one-way.
