  • Hotel Granvia Osaka - JR Hotel Group
  • I want to visit Gran Green Osaka, whose South Building will open in March 2025.

I would like to go to Gran Green Osaka, which was featured in the New York Times' "52 Places to Visit in 2025." The South Building is scheduled to open in March 2025, so I would like to go after that. I am looking for a hotel that is conveniently located to not only Gran Green Osaka but also Namba and other areas. Can you recommend a hotel?

Hotel Granvia Osaka - JR Hotel Group

No. 1-1, 3 Chome, Umeda, Kita Ward, Osaka, Japan

  • A hotel directly connected to Osaka Station that combines convenience and hospitality

  • Hotel Granvia Osaka, operated by JR, is a hotel with excellent access, directly connected to JR Osaka Station. Gran Green Osaka is also right in front of it. Umeda Station and Osaka Station are large terminal stations, so you can reach the Namba area, where Dotonbori is located, in about 10 minutes by train. This is a convenient hotel where you can enjoy sightseeing, gourmet food, shopping, and more.

Hearton Hotel Nishi Umeda

3-3-55, Umeda Kita-Ku

  • Right next to JR Osaka Station. A versatile hotel close to JR Osaka Station and Umeda Subway Station.

  • I recommend the Hearton Hotel Nishi Umeda. It's a versatile hotel that's convenient for going anywhere, as it's close to JR Osaka Station and Umeda Station on the Midosuji subway line. It's easy to get to Namba using the Midosuji line. Despite its good accessibility, the accommodation fee is not high, and it has single rooms, so it's recommended for solo travelers. There are sometimes early booking discounts and consecutive stay discounts, so if you're going to Kyoto or Kobe, it's more convenient to leave your luggage there than reserving a hotel each time you go.

S.Training Center Hotel Osaka

6-22-20, Fukushima

  • Hotels near Osaka Station that cost around 7,000 yen

  • It was easy to access from JR Osaka Station and Umeda Station, and there was a convenience store nearby. Gran Green Osaka is also within walking distance. The room was small and could accommodate up to two people, but it was a relaxing space. There was no bathtub, only a shower booth, but there was a large public bath where you could take a bath. Breakfast was a simple Japanese set meal. It was cheap, costing around 7,000 yen per person including breakfast.

Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka

1-12-8 Sonezaki-Shinchi, Kita

  • A high-end hotel with a Japanese feel

  • The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from JR Osaka Station and about a 1-minute walk from Kitashinchi Station on the JR Tozai Line. To get to Namba, walk to Nishi Umeda Station and take the metro for the 4th stop. All rooms at this hotel have shower heads that emit a mist called "Miracle," which is effective for beauty. The rooms have a Japanese atmosphere and you can really feel the Japanese atmosphere. There is also a coin laundry that can be used 24 hours a day, and a sauna. The location is great and I recommend it!

Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE OSAKA

1-1 Ofukacho

  • You can get a panoramic view of Osaka from the higher floors.

  • This hotel is close to Gran Green Osaka. Its location is excellent, being close to JR Osaka Station and Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station, which make it easy to get anywhere. The lobby is on the 9th floor and is spacious, with a great view of the Japanese garden outside. There is an open restaurant next to the lobby, where we had a Japanese and Western buffet breakfast. The room has a stylish design and is on a high floor, so the view is great, and the night view of Osaka is beautiful. There is also a free fitness room that is only available to guests.

DEL style Osaka Shin Umeda by Daiwa Roynet Hotel

6-16-1 Fukushima, Fukushima-ku

  • If I have the budget, I'd like to stay at a Daiwa Roynet hotel!

  • I would stay at this Daiwa Roynet hotel. I have stayed at Daiwa Roynet hotels several times, and I like them because they are mid-class hotels with stylish interiors. The amenities are also of high quality, and depending on the hotel, some have massage chairs and rooms with wide beds, each with its own unique features. This hotel has a very stylish retro-modern interior reminiscent of the good old days of Japan. Although the standard triple room is called a triple, it has four beds, so it is recommended for family trips or trips with friends. The nearest station is JR Fukushima Station, but it is also close to JR Osaka Station, and once you get to Osaka Station, you can easily get to Umeda, so if you are using the Umeda area of "Kita" as your base, this is a hotel that I would definitely recommend.
