Sightseeing in Kyoto. I want to see the Togetsukyo Bridge and the Bamboo Forest Path in Arashiyama.
I'd like to go to Arashiyama, a famous tourist spot in Kyoto, in the fall. I'd like to visit famous places such as Togetsukyo Bridge and the bamboo forest path, and go on a food tour. If possible, I'd like to stay near Arashiyama, so are there any recommended Ryokan (Japanese inn)? I want to make it a memorable trip, so price doesn't matter.

Relax in a room with a sukiya-style bath
- Located right next to Togetsukyo Bridge, the symbol of Arashiyama, this long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) offers beautiful views of the four seasons. Popular tourist spots such as Tenryu-ji Temple and the Bamboo Forest Path are nearby, making it easily accessible. This charming inn offers traditional Kyoto cuisine, hot springs, and attentive hospitality. The rooms are built in the traditional Sukiya style, and have a relaxing atmosphere. Each room has a different atmosphere, and includes an open-air bath and an indoor bath. There is also a private natural hot spring available.帽子屋's answer (Posted on:2025/2/ 5)

This is a luxury Ryokan (Japanese inn) where you can experience the best of Japanese hospitality.
- Rangetsu is Ryokan (Japanese inn) located near Arashiyama Station, just before crossing Togetsukyo Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, the streets get busy, but this area is relatively quiet, so it's recommended for those who want to avoid crowded places. There are very few accommodations in Japan that are truly ryokans, but at Ryokan (Japanese inn) you can fully experience Kyoto hospitality. The most popular room is the "special room with open-air bath" on the first floor, so I highly recommend staying there. Although it is not a hot spring, the water is natural deep sea water of sodium carbonate that seeps out from Arashiyama, and it is said to have a strong warming effect and to have the effect of making your skin smooth.Shiratama's answer (Posted on:2025/3/14)

It was a memorable trip!
- This is Ryokan (Japanese inn) located right in front of Arashiyama Station. I went there with a friend for a reward trip. The road to Ryokan (Japanese inn) 's entrance was unusual, so I was able to relax and forget about my daily life. There are five private baths, and there is no reservation system, so you can use them if they are available, so it was convenient because you don't have to communicate with the hotel staff every time. When I stayed there, there was a service to call a rickshaw to the hotel for a fee and go sightseeing in Arashiyama. I don't know if it's still available, so if you want to use it, please contact the hotel. The room was spacious and relaxing, and the meals were also relaxing in a semi-private room.タカヒロ's answer (Posted on:2025/2/ 5)
