  • This is a luxury Ryokan (Japanese inn) that costs over 30,000 yen per night. The rooms with open-air baths are 12.5 tatami mat rooms, 5 tatami mat rooms, and a reception room. The open-air bath attached to the room is large enough for two adults to bathe comfortably. For meals, we had kaiseki cuisine in our room, mainly seafood, due to the local nature of the place.

  • This long-established inn has been in business for over 70 years, and has a retro, rustic feel both inside and out!

  • There are two large baths, "Tensei-no-Yu" and "Kaisei-no-Yu". The former has an indoor bath, an open-air bath, a sauna and a cold bath. Meanwhile, the latter has an indoor Lying-down bath, an open-air bath and an open-air reclining bath. The open-air bath is quite elegant, with a cypress bath and a rock bath. Dinner is a kaiseki meal with delicious seafood and mountain produce, but the beef stew is so good that you will drink it all in one go without having time to catch your breath. Breakfast is a Japanese meal, and the Odawara-produced Kinjiro rice is so tasty that you won't be able to stop having second helpings.

  • This is a cozy inn with a pure Japanese atmosphere and a wonderful hot spring where you can relax with polite hospitality. Every room has hot spring water in the indoor bath, so you can enjoy the pure hot spring water flowing freely. If you want a more private stay, we recommend a room with an open-air bath. The open-air bath, which you can enjoy in a cute ceramic bathtub while looking out at the well-maintained Japanese garden, has a unique feel, and we enjoyed a stay at our own pace, including breakfast and dinner in our room.

This lovely hot spring inn has a very comfortable, purely Japanese, relaxed atmosphere and is also recommended for staying over the New Year holidays. The in-room breakfast and dinner meals can be enjoyed at your own pace without worrying about the eyes of others, and the seafood dishes, which take advantage of the location's location, are delicious and visually appealing. If you have the budget, there are rooms with open-air baths, and the rooms in Urushihokaku (Kiso) in particular have a very elegant and relaxing ceramic bathtub where you can enjoy the beautiful garden♪

You can enjoy these in the large public bath "Tenseinoyu," which has an indoor bath, an open-air bath, a sauna, and a cold bath. As for the food, you can eat kaiseki cuisine using seasonal natural ingredients carefully selected from Atami and all over the country. The additional dishes of the Kuroge Wagyu beef teppanyaki, the dancing abalone, and the simmered golden-eyed snapper are particularly delicious.

  • This is a long-established luxury Ryokan (Japanese inn). We have a room with an open-air bath as requested. The room was spacious, and we had dinner and breakfast in our room, so we didn't have to worry about disturbing other guests, and they were very filling and delicious. The abalone was especially delicious. The room attendant was polite and kind, and it was a relaxing trip for our married couple.

  • Sakuraya Ryokan (Japanese inn) is a 5-minute walk from Atami Station, making it a very convenient location for getting to Atami by train. What's more, there are spacious rooms with a 12-tatami mat and 10-tatami mat Japanese-style room and a Western-style room with a sofa, so even if eight people stay, they won't feel cramped. There are also plenty of baths, including an open-air bath and sauna, and you can enjoy the hot springs. There is also a mahjong room, so if you're staying with a group, I recommend this inn.
