  • Atami Onsen Furuya Ryokan
  • Atami Onsen | A hotel with a wonderful open-air bath

married couple and I are planning to go to Atami Onsen to enjoy the open-air baths. Can you recommend any high-end inns that cost over 35,000 yen, with spacious open-air baths and good atmospheres?

Atami Onsen Furuya Ryokan

5-24, Higashi-Kaigan-Cho

  • A quiet inn for adults with 200 years of history

  • If you are visiting Atami Onsen, I recommend "Furuya Ryokan (Japanese inn)." It is a quiet inn for adults with 200 years of history. You can bathe in the natural hot spring water from the source in a real hot spring bath that is "not diluted, circulated, or overheated." It is spacious and has plenty of room, and there is a wide variety of meals to choose from, so you can enjoy them at your leisure in your room according to your wishes. You can relax in the charming open-air bath.

Hotel Grand Bach Atami crescendo

Izu-yama 1048-4

  • The view from the open-air bath attached to the twin room is amazing.

  • Hotel Grand Bach Atami Crescendo is a hotel located on a hill, a 15-minute drive from Atami Station. There are Western-style twin rooms and Japanese-style twin rooms with open-air baths with 100% natural hot spring water, where you can soak in the hot springs while overlooking the cityscape of Atami and Sagami Bay. This is the perfect hotel for married couple to spend a quiet and luxurious time together. After the bath, you can also receive a treatment in the esthetic room. Dinner is a French course meal made with local seafood and mountain delicacies, which you can enjoy in the restaurant while looking out at the beautiful night view of Atami.

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Atami

8-3 Sakimicho, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture 413-0019

  • Two open-air baths: Kosai-no-yu and Hinoki-no-yu

  • We recommend Oedo Oedo Onsen Monogatari Atami. It is a lovely Atami Onsen spring inn with a pleasant sea breeze, located within walking distance of Atami Sun Beach. The weak alkaline spring water is gentle on the skin and has slimming and skin-beautifying effects, and it is difficult for the water to pass, so it will comfortably relieve the fatigue of your travels. Both the open-air bath (Kosai-no-yu) with its calm atmosphere and the open-air rock bath (Hinoki-no-yu) with its rustic charm are comfortable to soak in, and this is a recommended hot spring inn where you can enjoy the high-quality Atami Onsen at your own pace, including the delicious Buffet meals.

三平荘

1-7 Minaguchichō, Atami

  • Enjoy an open-air bath while looking at a Japanese garden

  • Since there are only a few rooms, the inn offers attentive hospitality. The open-air bath in the large communal bath is surrounded by a garden with many trees, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing space. There is also a rest area in the garden, perfect for soothing your hot body after a bath. The food was a seafood-focused kaiseki meal unique to Izu, and the sashimi was thick and plump. There are rooms with open-air baths, but the room we stayed in was without one. It was on the third floor, with only stairs, but it was a luxurious space of 15 tatami mats + 5 tatami mats + 6 tatami mats in a Western-style room, and the view from the room was wonderful, allowing us to relax in an elegant atmosphere.
