  • APA Hotel Kyoto-Gion Excellent
  • Affordable hotel near Kiyomizu-dera Temple, comfortable for two women

I'm looking for a cheap hotel near Kiyomizu-dera Temple. I'm traveling with two girls, so I want to avoid unsanitary hotels. Can you recommend a clean, cheap, and cost-effective hotel?

  • peace of mind

  • I recommend the APA Hotel chain. There are also others in front of Kyoto Station and on Horikawa-dori. The sense of security that comes with chain hotels is especially useful at times like this. APA Hotel is friendly to female guests and provides consistent quality service. There are shops nearby. The breakfast is delicious.

  • Located in the heart of Gion

  • Since it is a hotel chain, I think the price and service are fine. There were more tourists than business travelers, and many female groups. You can see the rooms and lobby on their website, but they were well-cleaned. It is within walking distance of Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

  • Right in front of Yasaka Shrine

  • Located in the Gion district, Yasaka Shrine is right in front of the hotel and Kiyomizu-dera Temple is within walking distance. This is a good-value chain hotel with well-trained employees, making it a comfortable stay. There are coffee chain stores and convenience stores nearby, and the breakfast Buffet with a wide variety of items, including freshly baked bread, is also recommended.

Hotel Sunroute Kyoto

406 Nanba-Cho, Matsubara-Sagaru, Kawaramachi-Dori, Shimogyo-Ku

  • National chain hotels

  • Since you are going to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, I think a hotel near Kawaramachi would be good. The Sunroute Hotel is a national chain hotel, so the room rates are not so high. However, it is not priced like a cheap business hotel, and the facilities are well-equipped, so you can feel the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. From Kawaramachi, first go to Yasaka Shrine, then Chion-in Temple, pass Kodai-ji Temple, which is famous for its autumn leaves, and go up Sannenzaka to Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

  • Hotels in Kyoto City where women can stay with peace of mind

  • Higashiyama, where Kiyomizu-dera Temple is located, can be reached by city bus, so it's a good idea to look for a hotel around Karasuma Station. This hotel is clean and safe for women. If you book early, you can get a good deal. The rooms are equipped with air purifiers, so you can relax comfortably. There is also a hot spring available for an additional fee, so it's a good idea to check it out.

  • It's a city hotel that feels like a new design hotel.

  • This is a new city hotel just a short walk from Sanjo Station on the subway. It feels like a design hotel. It is located in the downtown area just a few steps from Kawaramachi, but it is a calm and quiet hotel. I don't think there are any foreigners here. Both Kawaramachi and Gion are within walking distance, making this a very convenient and valuable hotel.
