  • Eat your way through Nishiki Market! Which hotel should you stay at?

I'm planning to go to Kyoto to see Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine during the autumn foliage season. Since I'm going to Kyoto, I'd like to go to Nishiki Market and try some food. Can you tell me a good hotel or Ryokan (Japanese inn) to stay at to go to Nishiki Market?

Hotel Vista Premio Kyoto Kawaramachi St.

457 Matsugae-cho, Nakagyo-ku

  • A hotel with easy access to Nishiki Market and where you can enjoy the Kawaramachi streetscape

  • Hotel Vista Premio Kyoto Kawaramachi-dori is in a great location close to the Kamo River. It is within walking distance of Gion-Shijo Station and Kyoto Kawaramachi Station, and you can also walk to Nishiki Market. I think it is in a great location with easy access to all the tourist areas of Kyoto. The modern design of the rooms also incorporates Kyoto-like touches such as shoji screens and Japanese-style lighting, giving them a calm and elegant atmosphere.

Hotel Grand Bach Kyoto Select

363, Naramono-cho, Nishiiru, Shijodoritera-machi, Shimogyo-ku

  • A stylish hotel with a large public bath located right in the middle of Shijo

  • Located right next to Nishiki Market and facing Shijo Street, it is the perfect base for sightseeing in Kyoto. Popular tourist spots such as Pontocho and Gion are within walking distance. Not only is it extremely convenient, but the hotel also plays Bach's music throughout, creating a very stylish atmosphere. The rooms have a modern Japanese atmosphere, are spacious and clean, and the breakfast is delicious, using plenty of Kyoto vegetables. There is also a large public bath, which was perfect for soothing the fatigue of your trip. There is also a bar area.

Hotel Gran Ms Kyoto

410-3 Shimomaruya-cho, Sanjo-agaru, Kawaramachi dori, Nakagyo-ku

  • Close to popular spots such as Nishiki Market, Pontocho, and Gion

  • Located in Kawaramachi Sanjo, in the center of Kyoto City, this hotel is extremely convenient for sightseeing. Tourist spots such as Nishiki Market, Pontocho, and Gion are nearby and within walking distance. It is also close to the station, so public transportation is easily accessible. The hotel features a modern and stylish design, and I enjoyed the artistic atmosphere. The amenities were plentiful and had a cute Japanese design. There is no restaurant, so it is a room-only stay, but there are plenty of eateries in the area, so it is not a problem. I was glad to be able to stay at such a reasonable price.
