• Dormy Inn Asahikawa is a hotel in front of Asahikawa Station where you can enjoy authentic natural hot onsen(hot spring), which are rare. The large public bath "Kamui no Yu" on the top floor is also equipped with an open-air bath, perfect for soothing your tired legs and hips after touring Asahiyama Zoo. Although it is a little independent guest cottages from the station, it is a highly recommended hotel with a high level of satisfaction.

It's extremely cold in the winter and the roads are bad, so it can be difficult to get to a hotel independent guest cottages from the station. Art Hotel Asahikawa is easy to get to, as the shuttle bus from Asahikawa Airport stops right in front of the hotel. To get to Asahiyama Zoo, you can either use the bus stop within walking distance or take the bus to the zoo that leaves from in front of Asahikawa Station. The restaurant on the 15th floor, which offers a panoramic view of the Daisetsuzan mountain range, is also an attractive option.
