Where to Stay in Shirakawa-go? From Gassho-style Inns to Hotels with Hot Springs
Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many people visit this charming village of Gassho-style houses on a day trip, but staying overnight offers a fantastic view that is different from the daytime. This time, I'm looking for hotels and Ryokan (Japanese inn) in the Shirakawa-go area. - If you want to enjoy a hot spring in Shirakawa-go, Shirakawa-go no Yu is the best recommendation. The food is also appealing, with delicious Japanese cuisine made with locally grown koshihikari rice and Hida beef, a specialty of the Hida region.
