Where to Stay in Shirakawa-go? From Gassho-style Inns to Hotels with Hot Springs
Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many people visit this charming village of Gassho-style houses on a day trip, but staying overnight offers a fantastic view that is different from the daytime. This time, I'm looking for hotels and Ryokan (Japanese inn) in the Shirakawa-go area. I'd like to know your recommendations for accommodations, from Gassho-style guesthouses to hotels with hot springs where you can relax.

- If you're looking for a comfortable hotel near Shirakawa-go, we recommend Onyado Yuinosho! It boasts private baths where you can relax in a private space. Ryoritsu Resort's specialty soy sauce ramen, "Yonakisoba (noodles sold by a hawker at night)," is served free of charge, and there are plenty of other warm hospitality touches to offer beyond the hot springs.井口's answer (Posted on:2025/8/ 3)

A comfortable hotel next to Shirakawa-go
- If you want to experience the traditional atmosphere of Shirakawa-go in a comfortable hotel, then we highly recommend Onyado Yuinosho. Built by relocating a magnificent old house that once stood on the banks of the Shogawa River, this inn has impressive high ceilings and thick beams, creating a space that feels like something out of a fairy tale. The hotel's famous hot springs have two types of private baths that can be used free of charge without a reservation, so you can enjoy the famous hot springs all to yourself in a private space without any worries.帽子屋's answer (Posted on:2025/8/ 3)
