  • Daiwa Roynet Hotel Mito
  • What are the best hotels near Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture?

I'm traveling in Japan and planning to visit the famous Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture. I'm looking for a convenient place to stay with easy access to the park. Can you recommend any hotels in the area? I'd love to hear what makes the hotel great: location, special amenities, positive reviews, etc. I'd also love to hear recommendations from locals!

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Mito

1-7-44 Miya-machi, Mito-shi

  • An exceptionally clean hotel

  • Although it's not the closest station to the park, staying at Mito Station is also convenient. This hotel is located right next to the south exit of Mito Station and is easy to find. This hotel is part of a nationwide chain and is extremely clean, so it's recommended for women as well. There are also many convenience stores and cafes around the hotel, so you'll have a comfortable stay.

Terrace Inn Katsuta

1-3, Katsutachuo,

  • Located right next to the bus stop to the park, this is recommended if you prioritize accessibility

  • Terrace Inn Katsuta is directly connected to JR Katsuta Station, and the bus stop for the park (mostly stop number 2) is right there. It's really convenient whether you're catching an early morning bus or returning home tired from playing in the park. The hotel is new and clean, and has everything you need. There's a convenience store on the first floor, so you won't have any trouble buying drinks or other small items. It's also convenient that they can store your luggage before check-in or after check-out. This is a recommended hotel for those who want to efficiently explore the city.

Hotel Crystal Palace

1-22-1, Ohira, Hitachinaka-shi

  • Although it is a little independent guest cottages from the station, this hotel has an attractive large public bath.

  • How about Hotel Crystal Palace? If you don't have much luggage, you can walk about 5 minutes from Kanagami Station on the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway. To get to Hitachi Seaside Park, you can either take a taxi from the hotel or return to Katsuta Station and take a bus. Although it's not directly connected to the station, the benefit of choosing this hotel is that it has a large public bath! It's open until late at night, so you can relax in it even after playing in the park.

Hotel Crown Hills Katsuta Motomachi-ten

4-1 Kyoeicho

  • The free breakfast buffet and large public bath are attractive features

  • If you're heading to Hitachi Seaside Park, we recommend Hotel Crown Hills Katsuta No. 2 Motomachi Branch, offering great value for money. It's just a five-minute walk from the east exit of JR Katsuta Station. The bus stop to the park is also located at the east exit, making it easily accessible. The free breakfast buffet has a wide variety of dishes, so you can fill up right from the morning. There's also a large public bath where you can stretch out, perfect after a long walk in the park.

Life Inn Katsuta Station West

Takeda 1118-3

  • A convenient business hotel located right next to the West Exit, even at night

  • "Life Inn Katsuta Ekimae Nishi" is a very practical base for sightseeing in Hitachinaka Park. As the name suggests, it is located right outside the "West Exit" of Katsuta Station. The building itself may not be new, but the rooms are always kept clean and well-maintained, so you can rest assured. The good thing about this hotel is that it is located on the west side of the station. There are several convenience stores, izakayas, and restaurants around the west exit, so you won't have any trouble finding dinner or buying drinks. It has all the services you need and is a good value hotel.
