  • First Cabin Midosuji-Namba
  • Looking for a Cheap, Clean, and High-Value Capsule Hotel in Osaka. Namba/Shinsaibashi area preferred!

I want to save on my accommodation costs during my trip to Osaka, so I'd like to try a highly cost-effective (cheap) capsule hotel. Since I'm a first-time user of Japanese capsule hotels, I'm looking for facilities that are very clean and feel safe. Please recommend the best spots in convenient areas for sightseeing, dining, and shopping, such as Namba, Shinsaibashi, or Dotonbori. Also, to avoid any confusion as a capsule hotel beginner, please share advice on basic usage, such as check-in, luggage management, and how to use the common areas!

First Cabin Midosuji-Namba

Namba-Midosuji Building 3F, 4-2-1 Namba, Chuo-ku

  • Directly connected to the station, ideal for sightseeing and shopping

  • It's conveniently located directly connected to Namba subway station, and the great thing about it is that you can check in without getting wet in the rain. This hotel is based on the concept of "first class," and is appealing in that it is more spacious and has higher ceilings than regular capsules. The guest rooms and common areas are kept clean, and security is tight, so even first-time capsule hotel guests can feel safe. There are plenty of free amenities, so another great benefit is that you can stay light without having to carry large luggage!

Capsule&Spa Grand Sauna Shinsaibashi

Chuo-ku Nishishinsaibashi 2-8-12

  • Large public bath and sauna available

  • It's conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station on the subway, with excellent access to Dotonbori and Namba. It's right next to Shinsaibashisuji Shopping Street. When you check in, you'll receive a locker key, and you can store your large luggage there. There's also a large public bath and sauna, so you can fully refresh yourself. I think you'll have a comfortable stay even if it's your first time at a capsule hotel.

Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi

2-6-3 Bakuromachi, Chuo-ku shinsaibashi

  • Refresh yourself in the sauna and bedrock bath

  • The large public bath and bedrock bath are big attractions not found in other capsule hotels! It's great to be able to relax in the bath after a long day of sightseeing. It's just a one-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station on the subway, so you can access it without getting wet even on rainy days. Dotonbori and Shinsaibashisuji Shopping Street are nearby, so you won't have any trouble finding somewhere to eat or shop. Upon check-in, you'll receive a locker key, leave your luggage there, and change into the hotel's indoor wear before heading off to the large public bath. This hotel is recommended for those who value the peace of mind of being close to the station and relaxation facilities.

Capsule Hotel Daitoyo

  • A famous sauna in the Umeda area

  • It's easily accessible, within walking distance of Hankyu Umeda Station and Nakatsu Subway Station, making it convenient for traveling to major tourist spots in Osaka. The accommodation fee is very low, so it's excellent value for money. There are plenty of relaxation facilities, such as a large public bath and sauna. After receiving your locker key and indoor wear at check-in, it is good manners to stay quietly in the cabin. The facility is clean, so even beginners should be able to use it without any problems.
