I'm heading to the Kansai area in Japan to try Caving! Need recs for spots and a nearby hotel. Hotel must be cheap yet clean, bookable now, and have a "Daiyokujo" (large public bath) to refresh.

  • You can go caving in Taga Town, Shiga Prefecture. We recommend the hotel "Rest Inn Taga." It is located about 1 km or 13 minutes on foot from Taga Taisha-mae Station on the Omi Railway Taga Line. It is adjacent to a service area on the outbound side of the Meishin Expressway (towards Nishinomiya). Meals are not provided, but you can eat at nearby service areas.
