I'm going to Kobe Luminarie and Chinatown. Can you recommend a place to stay nearby? My budget is 15,000 yen per night.
I'm planning to go back to Kobe, where I used to live, for the first time in a while. The day after seeing the Luminarie, I want to enjoy eating and shopping in Chinatown, so please let me know a hotel with good access.

- A semicircular hotel standing by the sea. There is a shuttle bus from Shin-Kobe Station and Sannomiya Station to the hotel, and the price is within budget. You can walk to Chinatown and the boutiques of the former settlement, shop, and go to the Luminarie venue on foot.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)

Convenient hotel near the station
- Chinatown is at Motomachi Station, but the neighboring Sannomiya Station and Motomachi Station are connected by a shopping street, and it takes 1 minute by train or about 5 minutes on foot. (If you lived there in the past, you may know this.) The start of the Luminarie is near Motomachi Station, but the finish is in Sannomiya. JR, Hankyu, Hanshin, Port Liner, and subway lines are all at Sannomiya Station, so I recommend staying in Sannomiya, shopping while walking around Center Street, and eating in Chinatown.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)

A prestigious hotel in a convenient location in Motomachi, Kobe
- Both the Luminarie and Chinatown are located in the Motomachi area of Kobe. There are several hotels in the Motomachi area that are easily accessible, but the one I would like to recommend this time is Hotel Okura Kobe. During the Luminarie period, there are some traffic restrictions, and you may have to take a detour from Motomachi or Sannomiya Station to the Luminarie area when going out at night or on your way home, which can be a bit of a hassle. For this reason, Hotel Okura, which is close to Motomachi and located independent guest cottages from the station from the Luminarie area, is relatively unaffected by traffic restrictions and is convenient. Although it is a luxury hotel, it can be within your budget if you choose the right plan and date, and it is also convenient that there is a shuttle bus to Sannomiya on weekdays and to Shin-Kobe on weekends and holidays.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)

Located next to Kobe Chinatown
- The hotel has a women-only floor, so it's safe for solo travelers. Another attractive feature is the easy access to Chinatown. There are deals on multiple-night stays and plans that include a one-day pass for the city loop bus, so you can stay at a great price according to your schedule. If you avoid peak season, you can easily stay for around 10,000 yen.ゆうゆうちゃん's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)

Just a one-minute walk from JR Motomachi Station
- The best thing about this hotel is that it's reasonably priced! It's located in front of JR and Hanshin Motomachi Station, and is conveniently located within walking distance of tourist spots such as Nankinmachi (Chinatown), Meriken Park, and Harborland. The rooms are also nice! The Wi-Fi and other internet connections were also good.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)

Chinatown "Nankinmachi" is quite close.
- I think the price was about 15,000 yen. It's in the center of Kobe, but it's a quiet environment. You can also get to Osaka in about 30 minutes. If you search, you can find more information. The breakfast was Buffet style, with a wide variety of menu items, and it was delicious. I recommend this hotel.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)

The breakfast is delicious and there is a hot spring.
- I think it's a normal business hotel, but there was a large hot spring bath, which was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a mix of Japanese and Western cuisine, with a wide variety of options, and was delicious. Everyone from grandmothers to grandchildren ate heartily. It's a bit of a walk to Chinatown, but it's not too far to walk. There is a free shuttle from Sannomiya Station. Kobe Port Tower and Meriken Park are nearby, so it was very pleasant to take a walk before breakfast.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)

The Luminarie is right in front of you
- It's within a 10-minute walk from Sannomiya Station on the JR, Hankyu, and Hanshin lines. It's also within a 10-minute taxi ride from Shin-Kobe. Good access. The hotel is clean and nice. reception desk is very accommodating. Many foreigners stay here. However, it's more than enough for a budget of 15,000 yen per night. Chinatown is also nearby.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 3)
The night view of Kobe port is amazing!
