Genbikei onsen(hot spring) Itsukushien

Minamitakinoue-15,Genbicho, Ichinoseki, Iwate

  • Enjoy a hot spring while looking at Genbikei!

  • This Ryokan (Japanese inn) 's hot spring has an open-air bath overlooking the Genbikei Gorge, and the view is amazing. Nearby, there are attractions such as the "Kakkoya" where dumplings are carried along a rope from the other side of the Genbikei Gorge, which you can enjoy. It is also easily accessible from Hiraizumi, with only one train ride away, and the price is reasonable, so I recommend it!

  • A bath where you can enjoy the scent of wood

  • This hotel is conveniently located near Hiraizumi. The rooms are fairly spacious, and I think it's a good deal for the price. Plum blossoms bloom in spring, making you feel the change of season. The open-air bath is nice because you can enjoy the scent of the trees. Genbikei is famous for its "Cuckoo Dango," also known as "Flying Dango." Please give it a try.

  • This hotel is easily accessible from Hiraizumi, which was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2011, and is perfect for tourists. It is located in a great location, with Genbikei Gorge visible from the guest room windows. You can enjoy delicious dishes made with local ingredients, including Maesawa beef steaks.

Chuson-ji Hiraizumi Spa Ryokan Shizukatei

10-5 Nagakura, Hiraizumi,Hiraizumicho,Nishiiwaigun

  • Ryokan (Japanese inn) with hot springs in Hiraizumi, a World Heritage Site

  • The hot springs and soba dishes are popular and can be used even for day trips. When staying overnight, dinner is served in the room and the handmade soba noodles and country cuisine using local ingredients were very delicious. The hot springs are natural hot springs, and the clean natural air in the open-air baths healed me from the inside out. There are tourist spots such as the Hiraizumi Cultural Heritage Center in the city of Hiraizumi.

  • A relaxing inn nestled in a charming rural setting

  • This is a wonderful inn nestled in a quiet rural landscape surrounded by mountains. The hot spring is 100% natural hot spring, and is popular for its gentle texture and silky feel on the skin after bathing. The inn's proud handmade soba noodles are fragrant and can be enjoyed with local seasonal ingredients. Hiraizumi has a wide variety of sights, starting with Chusonji Temple, and it is difficult to see them all. Therefore, it is recommended to pick out your favorite spots in the tourist brochure in advance to make the most of your time. Enjoy the scenery of Hiraizumi that you can only find here.

Hotel Matsunoka Ichinoseki

Kamiotsukikouji 2-37

  • This hotel is also a perfect base for sightseeing in Hiraizumi.

  • Hotel Matsu no Kaoru Ichinoseki, located just a one-minute walk from the west exit of Ichinoseki Station, has good access to the World Heritage site of Hiraizumi, and you can choose between a Japanese-style room or a Western-style room to stay in the style you prefer. The breakfast is simple and has a variety of delicious items, and the rooms are reasonably priced, starting from 4,600 yen per person per night, so we recommend it.

Hotel Shidotaira

Shidotaira-27-1 Yuguchi, Hanamaki Iwate Prefecture

  • Hot springs are good

  • Although it is a little independent guest cottages from Hiraizumi, how about staying at the Shidotaira Onsen hotel "Teru Shidotaira"? It is about 50 minutes by car. You can enjoy three different hot springs within the hotel. The glass-walled Tenkawa-no-Yu bath, with a total volume of 25 meters, is a masterpiece. The open-air rock bath where you can enjoy a view of the valley is also attractive.

Mizusawa Grand Hotel

40, Mizusawaku Azumacho, Oshu

  • It's just a short train ride to the Golden Hall

  • Mizusawa is the third station from JR Hiraizumi Station, and is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the station. We recommend the overnight stay with breakfast plan. Enjoy Tohoku cuisine around the hotel in the city center the night before. The next morning, have a leisurely breakfast and take the JR train to Hiraizumi, and you'll arrive at Konjikido in the morning.

Hanamaki Ryokan Airinkan

23 Namari, Hanamaki-shi

  • A hotel where you can relax in hot springs

  • Although it is a little independent guest cottages from Hiraizumi, there are many types of hot springs, so it is a great place for hot spring lovers. I stayed here after sightseeing in Hiraizumi, but it was a surprisingly long walk to Chusonji Temple, and I was unexpectedly tired, so the hot springs were soothing. We also had meals in our room, so we could relax and enjoy our meals, which was great.

Suimeiso

Mizusawa, Otemachi 5-33

  • Convenient and affordable

  • This is a tourist Ryokan (Japanese inn) located almost in the center of Oshu City. It takes about 15 minutes from Mizusawa to Hiraizumi on the JR Tohoku Main Line. The rooms are Japanese-style rooms with 6 to 8 tatami mats, which is enough for two people. There are accommodation plans that include meals, but I recommend choosing the plan that includes breakfast and enjoying Tohoku delicacies at a nearby restaurant for dinner.
