Can you recommend hotels with great Mount Fuji views?
I'm really excited about my trip to Japan and would love to see Mount Fuji. Could you recommend some hotels where I can get a fantastic view of Mount Fuji directly from my room? I don't need luxurious facilities, but a room with an unobstructed view of the mountain is my top priority.

- If you're staying in Shizuoka, the Hotel Grand Hills Shizuoka comes highly recommended, conveniently located right in front of Shizuoka Station. All of their rooms are on the 18th floor or higher, and their Superior Twin rooms (which can accommodate up to four people) all boast incredible Mount Fuji views! It's an excellent choice if you're looking for a pre-stay before heading out to see Mount Fuji up close.
The hotel itself has a great selection of dining options, including a buffet-style restaurant, Chinese cuisine, teppanyaki, Japanese dishes, and a bar. While there are plenty of dining spots on the south side of Shizuoka Station where the hotel is located, I highly recommend crossing to the north side of the station to find izakayas and try "Shizuoka Oden," a local specialty of Japanese hot pot stew.mariruri's answer (Posted on:2025/7/10)

Soak in Onsen with a Picture-Perfect Mount Fuji View!
- For an ultimate Mount Fuji experience, the Mt. Fuji View Onsen Ooike Hotel in Kawaguchiko is a fantastic choice. Imagine soaking in the large public bath with the magnificent, picture-like Mount Fuji right before your eyes! If you opt for a room with a Fuji view, you can even enjoy the scenery from your living room and the in-room bath (note: the private in-room baths are not hot springs).
They also have rooms that can accommodate up to five people, making it perfect for family trips or group travel with friends. While dining out is an option, the hotel offers excellent kaiseki cuisine (a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner) featuring local Yamanashi ingredients – a truly delightful experience!Shiratama's answer (Posted on:2025/7/10)

Historic Lakeside Resort Just 10 Mins from Kawaguchiko Station!
- The Fuji Lake Hotel offers a luxurious experience with hot springs, conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station. I confirmed with their official website's chat support that they have English-speaking staff, so guests who aren't confident in their Japanese will have a comfortable stay.
While they have rooms with views of Lake Kawaguchiko, I definitely recommend booking a Mount Fuji view room for the best experience. Besides the large public baths, you can also reserve private baths where you can enjoy the onsen while gazing at Mount Fuji. What's unique about this hotel is their indoor Mount Fuji observation deck, which means you can see a snow-capped Mount Fuji at eye level, even if you visit in winter!OnsenDaisuki's answer (Posted on:2025/7/10)

How About a Ryokan with Onsen & Fuji Views?
- Wakakusa no Yado Maruei Ryokan is located right on the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko, about a 10-minute retro bus ride from Kawaguchiko Station, and they also offer a shuttle service. While you can't see Mount Fuji directly from every room, they have special Japanese-style rooms with private open-air baths that offer Mount Fuji views – and I highly recommend booking one of these!
This inn is locally famous for its exceptional cuisine, often referred to as "Maruei for its food." You'll be treated to beautifully presented "washoku" (traditional Japanese cuisine) dishes. You can also order extra dishes like abalone or premium Wagyu beef steak if you're looking for something extra special.Japan Traveler 55's answer (Posted on:2025/7/10)

Lake Shoji & Mount Fuji Views from Your Room with Meals Included!
- The Yamadaya Hotel is situated directly in front of Lake Shoji, and every room offers captivating views of both Lake Shoji and Mount Fuji. What's amazing is that you can stay here for around ¥15,000-¥20,000 per person, including breakfast and dinner! For a room with Mount Fuji views and meals included, this price is incredibly reasonable.
You can enjoy traditional Japanese meals featuring seasonal ingredients at the hotel's restaurant, all while admiring the majestic Mount Fuji. Although it's a bit further from Kawaguchiko Station (about a 35-minute bus ride), the hotel is right in front of the "Shojiko Yamadaya Hotel" bus stop, making it super convenient once you arrive.Poporo's answer (Posted on:2025/7/10)

Convenient & Affordable Hotel with Mount Fuji Views!
- For a budget-friendly option, the Toyoko Inn Fujisan Mishima-eki is an excellent choice. Despite being a business hotel right next to Mishima Station (a Shinkansen stop!), you can enjoy magnificent views of Mount Fuji from their Fuji-side rooms. The facilities are simple, as is typical for a business hotel, but the trade-off is an incredibly reasonable price point for having such a spectacular Mount Fuji view all to yourself from your room.

- At Fruit Park Fujiya Hotel, you can enjoy not only Mount Fuji during the day but also the stunning night view of the Kofu Basin, which has been selected as one of the "New Three Great Night Views of Japan." The view from the hotel's impressive public bath is also exceptional; you can soak in the hot spring while looking out over the vast Kofu Basin and Mount Fuji in the distance.
