  • Can you recommend hotels with great Mount Fuji views?

I'm really excited about my trip to Japan and would love to see Mount Fuji. Could you recommend some hotels where I can get a fantastic view of Mount Fuji directly from my room? I don't need luxurious facilities, but a room with an unobstructed view of the mountain is my top priority.

Hotel Grand Hills Shizuoka

18-1 Minami-cho,Suruga-ku

  • Superior Twin Rooms Offer Stunning Fuji Views!

  • If you're staying in Shizuoka, the Hotel Grand Hills Shizuoka comes highly recommended, conveniently located right in front of Shizuoka Station. All of their rooms are on the 18th floor or higher, and their Superior Twin rooms (which can accommodate up to four people) all boast incredible Mount Fuji views! It's an excellent choice if you're looking for a pre-stay before heading out to see Mount Fuji up close. The hotel itself has a great selection of dining options, including a buffet-style restaurant, Chinese cuisine, teppanyaki, Japanese dishes, and a bar. While there are plenty of dining spots on the south side of Shizuoka Station where the hotel is located, I highly recommend crossing to the north side of the station to find izakayas and try "Shizuoka Oden," a local specialty of Japanese hot pot stew.

  • Distant but Beautiful Mt. Fuji Views from a Shizuoka City High-Rise!

  • Hotel Grand Hills Shizuoka is located on the east side of Shizuoka Station, but the rooms are on the 18th floor or higher, so you can get a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji even from downtown Shizuoka. You can also enjoy the night view of Shizuoka. The elevators are made of glass, so you can see Mt. Fuji from the elevators.

Mt. Fuji View Onsen Ooike Hotel

6713-103 Funatsu

  • Soak in Onsen with a Picture-Perfect Mount Fuji View!

  • For an ultimate Mount Fuji experience, the Mt. Fuji View Onsen Ooike Hotel in Kawaguchiko is a fantastic choice. Imagine soaking in the large public bath with the magnificent, picture-like Mount Fuji right before your eyes! If you opt for a room with a Fuji view, you can even enjoy the scenery from your living room and the in-room bath (note: the private in-room baths are not hot springs). They also have rooms that can accommodate up to five people, making it perfect for family trips or group travel with friends. While dining out is an option, the hotel offers excellent kaiseki cuisine (a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner) featuring local Yamanashi ingredients – a truly delightful experience!

  • Great Fuji Views from Various Floors & a Shuttle from Kawaguchiko!

  • I stayed at a hotel near Lake Kawaguchiko that had great views! I was on the 4th floor of the main building, but it seemed like Mt. Fuji was visible from the lower floors too. They have various room types, so to be on the safe side, I definitely think it's best to specifically request a "room with a good Mt. Fuji view" when you book. By the way, Mt. Fuji was also very clear from the 5th-floor observation bath (though I'm not sure if the view is the same from the women's side – worth checking!). However, it wasn't visible from the 1st-floor open-air bath. A big plus is that it's conveniently located, about a 4-minute drive from Kawaguchiko Station, and they offer a free shuttle service right from the station, which is super helpful! (You'd need to find which hotel this is, but these are good features to look for!)

Fuji Lake Hotel

1,Funatsu,Fujikawaguchiko-machi,Minamitsuru-gun

  • Historic Lakeside Resort Just 10 Mins from Kawaguchiko Station!

  • The Fuji Lake Hotel offers a luxurious experience with hot springs, conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station. I confirmed with their official website's chat support that they have English-speaking staff, so guests who aren't confident in their Japanese will have a comfortable stay. While they have rooms with views of Lake Kawaguchiko, I definitely recommend booking a Mount Fuji view room for the best experience. Besides the large public baths, you can also reserve private baths where you can enjoy the onsen while gazing at Mount Fuji. What's unique about this hotel is their indoor Mount Fuji observation deck, which means you can see a snow-capped Mount Fuji at eye level, even if you visit in winter!

  • Fuji Lake Hotel: Mt. Fuji Views from Rooms, Private Onsen & Dining!

  • Fuji Lake Hotel is located right near Lake Kawaguchiko and is a fantastic choice for Fuji views. They offer a variety of room types, and you can specifically choose rooms with a view of Mount Fuji – definitely do this when booking! One of the great features is that they have private, reservable onsen (hot spring baths) where you can relax while looking at Mount Fuji. Imagine that! Plus, for meals, you can enjoy a buffet-style dining experience with views of both Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. It's a really lovely place to stay if you want those iconic views and a comfortable experience.

Wakakusa no Yado Maruei Ryokan

498,Kodachi,Fujikasaguchiko-cho,Minamitsuru-gun

  • How About a Ryokan with Onsen & Fuji Views?

  • Wakakusa no Yado Maruei Ryokan is located right on the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko, about a 10-minute retro bus ride from Kawaguchiko Station, and they also offer a shuttle service. While you can't see Mount Fuji directly from every room, they have special Japanese-style rooms with private open-air baths that offer Mount Fuji views – and I highly recommend booking one of these! This inn is locally famous for its exceptional cuisine, often referred to as "Maruei for its food." You'll be treated to beautifully presented "washoku" (traditional Japanese cuisine) dishes. You can also order extra dishes like abalone or premium Wagyu beef steak if you're looking for something extra special.

  • Charming Ryokan: Fuji Views from Room & Open-Air Bath, Plus Memorable Udon!

  • I stayed at a wonderful Japanese-style inn (ryokan) near Lake Kawaguchiko where you could see Mount Fuji perfectly, both from the room and the open-air bath (rotenburo)! A small detail, but the water they served at the ryokan was incredibly delicious – it really left an impression. The onsen water itself was clear, and maybe a little on the hotter side, which was nice. For meals, they served them in our room (<em>oheyashoku</em>), and the udon noodles were particularly memorable! There are quite a few pensions, guesthouses (minshuku), and ryokans in the Lake Kawaguchiko area. But if you're specifically looking for a traditional Japanese-style place, this one was a lovely, relaxing mid-range ryokan, and I'd definitely recommend finding one like it.

Yamadaya Hotel

478 Shouji, Fuji-Kawaguchiko, Minamitsuru-gun

  • Lake Shoji & Mount Fuji Views from Your Room with Meals Included!

  • The Yamadaya Hotel is situated directly in front of Lake Shoji, and every room offers captivating views of both Lake Shoji and Mount Fuji. What's amazing is that you can stay here for around ¥15,000-¥20,000 per person, including breakfast and dinner! For a room with Mount Fuji views and meals included, this price is incredibly reasonable. You can enjoy traditional Japanese meals featuring seasonal ingredients at the hotel's restaurant, all while admiring the majestic Mount Fuji. Although it's a bit further from Kawaguchiko Station (about a 35-minute bus ride), the hotel is right in front of the "Shojiko Yamadaya Hotel" bus stop, making it super convenient once you arrive.

This lakeside hotel truly aims to be "the world's best hotel for admiring Mount Fuji," and it shows – you can enjoy the stunning views from nearly every part of the hotel, including the restaurant, bar, and private open-air baths. • Absolutely Stunning Fuji Views from this Lakeside Hotel Room!

  • The hotel faces Lake Kawaguchiko, and if the weather is good, you can see Mt. Fuji beyond the lake from your room. You can also see Mt. Fuji reflected in the lake, and I think the location is one of the best among the hotels around Lake Kawaguchiko. The hotel asked us to cancel our reservation due to heavy snowfall in February, so we went in April. However, the rain from the previous day cleared the next morning, and we were able to enjoy a full view of Mt. Fuji from both onsen(hot spring) and our room. The foreigners who shared the elevator with us were also pleased.

Toyoko Inn Fujisan Mishima-eki

1-5-7, Bunkyo-cho

  • Convenient & Affordable Hotel with Mount Fuji Views!

  • For a budget-friendly option, the Toyoko Inn Fujisan Mishima-eki is an excellent choice. Despite being a business hotel right next to Mishima Station (a Shinkansen stop!), you can enjoy magnificent views of Mount Fuji from their Fuji-side rooms. The facilities are simple, as is typical for a business hotel, but the trade-off is an incredibly reasonable price point for having such a spectacular Mount Fuji view all to yourself from your room. You can also explore the area and find restaurants serving fresh seafood from Suruga Bay, which is a delightful experience. And don't miss the hotel's complimentary breakfast service, featuring classic Japanese dishes like onigiri (rice balls) and miso soup – a great way to start your day!

  • A hotel with a great view of Mt. Fuji near Mishima Station

  • Toyoko Inn Fujisan Mishima Station, located at Mishima Station where the Shinkansen stops, is a business hotel, so the accommodation rates are naturally reasonable, and it is a recommended hotel for sightseeing in Mishima. From the rooms on the north side, you can see Mt. Fuji behind Mt. Ashitaka, so request a room on the north side. Breakfast also comes with a free Buffet, which is convenient.

This means you can enjoy the stunning Mount Fuji views in your own private space while relaxing in the onsen! The view from their rooftop footbath is particularly outstanding, allowing you to take in a panoramic vista of both Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko at once. The view from the hotel's impressive public bath is also exceptional; you can soak in the hot spring while looking out over the vast Kofu Basin and Mount Fuji in the distance.
