I recommend visiting Dogo Onsen as sightseeing and using "Botchan no Yu". As an aside, I heard that Dogo Onsen has already dried up and the water is now drawn from underground in Matsuyama Castle. Dogo Onsen Onsen is probably indispensable for sightseeing and walking around, but if you want to relax and have a fun stay in hot spring with your friends, I recommend Nara Natural hot spring Riraku.
