Superior Twin Rooms Offer Stunning Fuji Views!
If you're staying in Shizuoka, the Hotel Grand Hills Shizuoka comes highly recommended, conveniently located right in front of Shizuoka Station. All of their rooms are on the 18th floor or higher, and their Superior Twin rooms (which can accommodate up to four people) all boast incredible Mount Fuji views! It's an excellent choice if you're looking for a pre-stay before heading out to see Mount Fuji up close. The hotel itself has a great selection of dining options, including a buffet-style restaurant, Chinese cuisine, teppanyaki, Japanese dishes, and a bar. While there are plenty of dining spots on the south side of Shizuoka Station where the hotel is located, I highly recommend crossing to the north side of the station to find izakayas and try "Shizuoka Oden," a local specialty of Japanese hot pot stew.

Distant but Beautiful Mt. Fuji Views from a Shizuoka City High-Rise!
Hotel Grand Hills Shizuoka is located on the east side of Shizuoka Station, but the rooms are on the 18th floor or higher, so you can get a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji even in downtown Shizuoka. You can also enjoy the night view of Shizuoka. The elevators are made of glass, so you can see Mt. Fuji from the elevators.
